Join the crowd. Most Christians can relate to what you experience. It's a one day at a time, one experience at a time thing. What I find helpful is touching base with other Christians in the workplace, on the road, stores, where ever I meet Christians. Sharing, encouraging one another, including the weekly Small Group meetings I attend every week (a great source for Christian fellowship). Spending time daily reading and studying the Word, prayer, listening to Christian music at home and on the road, listening or watching Christian programming and a sure way to get fired up is to attend popular Christian events held around the country. Reading other Christian writings particular on topics that are near and dear your heart.

Focusing on the good things in life, reducing the negative influences in your life, force a smile on your face even if you don't feel like it. Others will respond positively to you and your facial muscles will get use to it and it'll come natural and best of all you'll sense it in your heart and mind. I've had a tough time with this because when I was young and I smiled, people made fun of me for my "shi? eating grin". :(

Even in times of misery we can be fired up and I don't mean in a faking way but a peaceful way if we get in the habit of praising God IN ALL circumstances. I know it turned my life around and may work for you.

Keep the faithy, buddy. You know we all have attitudes. It's just a matter of whether it's a good emotional attitude or a self-pity downer attitude. What's on the inside portrays on the outside or at least it should.

So I have this problem, my attitude. Sometimes when I pray and read the Bible I feel really fired up, but when I am in my daily routine I feel just, eh, how am I supposed to be an example for Christ when I look and feel so passive, not fired up for anything.
MY FRIEND,

If you are REALLY worried about your attitude--why not consider changing it.

It might help keep you motivated towards this change if you remember our Lord's words:

"SO, BECAUSE YOU ARE LUKEWARM--NEITHER HOT NOR COLD--I AM ABOUT TO SPIT YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH."(Revelations 3:16)

A BOND-SLAVE/FRIEND/BROTHER OF OUR LORD/GOD/SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST,
ephraim

Dear dmart. Jesus never told us to be all-fired up, He told us to give the Good-News to all the world. He also gave us 2 Commandments, which contain all God commanded us to follow, in His 10 Commandments. 1) Love God with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds. God can see our hearts, He knows whether He comes first with us, or whether we ignore His loving advice. 2) Love our neighbours, i.e. all others, friend or foe, as we love ourselves. This is best done by treatingall we know, or meet, as we would like to be treated. Lovingly, kindly, considerately, with friendly smiles and helping hands. Our attitude should be gentle rather than loud or pushy, and we have years to become as loving as God wants us to be. We have our Saviour who will help and guide us, and God will forgive us every time we fall or stumble, if we forgive others as we like God to forgive us. God can see our hearts, He knows our thoughts and wishes, He will know how sincerely we try to follow to become as He wants us to be. I say this humbly and with love, dmart. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Let's See How Fired Up You Really Are.
Read and Meditate on Mark 15:38. God's Temple is Open.
The Act of Jesus, ie Will of the Father, just opened it.
Jesus and the Thief just went through.
The Heavens are Open.
Can you Enter?
If you can not, you know the answer to your question.
This is Called the Second Exodus.
Most Creation can not see this, as they are too busy with running their race.

Hi,

Our feelings can deceive us, but God never changes. As you continue to spend regular daily time with God (in prayer, Bible reading, praising Him),and follow the dictates of the Holy Spirit, you will continue to grow in your faith and love toward him. But this does not mean you will always feel like you are on a spiritual high. There are highs, lows and in-betweens in the Christian walk. However, it is by faith that you must press on in this walk, and not let your feelings make you think that God is not using you to further his kingdom.

Also, if you have not already done so - let God know how you feel on this matter. You may be surprised at how he may reveal to you how your general Christian lifestyle is already a witness to others or perhaps open obvious new avenues for you to witness directly to someone.

Blessings.

Everyone does get that way. Not everyone feels up to all the time. It's natural as anything else. You don't always feel like working, and there are even times you might not feel like talking with your closest friend or your lover. We can feel that way about God too. We all have emotional ups and downs. One minute we're screaming "I KNOW GOD CAN DO IT!" and the next we're like "Oh...man...". God understands this. He really does. It's the CHOICE you make.

Don't look at this negatively. It's good to get fired up. It's also good to be passive. When we're passive and calm, even "sleepy" those are times God can reach us more easily or deeply because we've turned down the volume of life and the noise of the world.

You can pray to the Lord and ask Him to help you through it, or to show you how to balance it. But always remember He knows, and it's fine with Him.

Hey Dmart

We all get those ups and downs, and it doesn't mean the Lord loves us any less. Just do your best to stick with Him, through thick and thin. One day, you'll see the Lord, face to face.

I want to thank you all for your support, just want to let you know my relationship with God is still strong and I(with the help of God) am working on my day to day attitude and it is improving, I need to keep at it though a lot of work to be done in my life. Thanks again.

Do not try and chase Heaven with anything, or anywhere.

Heaven is to be believed, in the heart.
