Bio: Edward was born to the family of Rodrigo's daughter, Miranda. Miranda was a kind woman, and she believed her father to be a good man. she was shocked when he killed the four remaining superpowered humans after the nuclear incident her father had lived through. She fled with her family, far away from him.
Naturally, Rodrigo gave chase, and found them, and kidnapped Edward when he was young--he ran tests on Edward, and discovered that he had the 'X-gene' the gene that gave Rodrigo his own powers. Rodrigo, however, did not want to hurt his daughter by taking her child away from her, and put Edward back in his crib the same night.
17 years later, Rodrigo confronted Edward on the way home from school, and told him he had superpowers. Edward brushed off this aspect, until Rodrigo asked if his body parts had been transforming on their own recently, or if he had been developing strange symptoms, or exhibitng strange urges. Rodrigo had researched Edward's power, and told him that he could help Edward control it. Edward agreed, and moved in with his grandfather.
He was shocked to discover that Rodrigo only wanted Edward to aid in his quest to take over the world and rule it as his utopia. Shocked and horrified, Edward fled. But, Rodrigo had already set to work on making an exact replica of Edward's DNA should he decide to run away. The clone was to be called 'Edward-X', augmenting Edward's shapeshifting abilites and removing all emotion from the cerebral cortex for optimum battling efficiency. The clone has abilities Edward himself does not have.

Edward has taken kendo all of his life, which is a Japanese martial arts form with a wooden sword. Occasionally, Edward brings his wooden sword with him if he has to fight in human form.
