John 16:
"12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them at the present time. 13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; "

Notice how that plays out with Peter in Acts 10:27-29 Peter is finally given the message that God loves Gentiles and wants them to be evangelized. Peter could not receive that in John 16.

Also in Matt 12 the Jews reject Christ's teaching so in Matt 13 He dumbs it down for them in the form of parables that they could not possibly object to because they did not know the meaning.

In Luke 16 we see that at the end of parables they could understand they were objecting to all of it - so Yeshua gives them a parable they would accept with "the rich man and Lazarus" where Abraham was in charge of all of heaven.

Notice also that what the disciples had to learn didn't come from formal education but from revelation from God. God's channel of education.

The Bible is full of examples.

Moses had to spend 40 years herding sheep until he had unlearned enough of his world-class education in Pharaoh's court while simultaneously learning in God's school what was of true worth. That 40 year was an absolute necessity.

How about Elijah? There is no evidence that he learned in any school other than God's school. The Holy Spirit drove John the Baptist into the wilderness where he could be taught of God rather than learn in the formal schools of his day.

Judas was the most highly educated disciple Jesus had. Yet he was the one to betray Jesus. If we contemplate on that we see that his self-confidence came out of his formal education because he looked around himself and thought no one was his equal. They were all a bunch of hicks.

The rest of the disciples, except maybe Levi Matthew, were uneducated in the formal schools of their day, so God could reach them. And did God ever teach them. These guys changed the world in a matter of a few years by taking God at His word. Any worldly training was lost sight of in the education coming from God.

The worldly education which has always been based on paganism because it is the religion of the prince of this world is an active hindrance to learning of God for it teaches the opposite principles of life. It teaches that self, not God, is to be the heart of the person.

I want the education spoken of in Ezekiel 36:23-31. The education that comes directly, and only, from God. Then God can truly use me because He can trust me with the power of the Holy Spirit because I will be as fully surrendered as Messiah Yeshua is. I can see nothing of more value than that.

Like the old hymn says, the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.
