(I don't view the Creation story as literal truth, but this is a thread for using the imagination -- it's just for fun. )

Eden would have been an odd place. There were only two humans, with no memories, and apparantly nothing to do; the Bible says they were responsible for the plants and animals, but really -- in Eden, what would that have entailed? The plants were to have been watered by underground springs, so it's not as if they were working on irrigation techniques. The animal kingdom does a good job of fending for itself when we're not mucking things up. So what did they DO all day?

Comparing our experiences to those before mankind fell into the state of sin and death would be a situation where comparison could not truthfully be used for anything meaningful, IMO. Having peace with God and restfully existing with Him would have been altogether fulfilling. Can we compare that to the list of lusts and desires we have in our self service society that is ever in a hurry to go to the next shallow amusement or self serving activity? What could compare to a Creator's good will and personal love?
No matter what happened in the garden, God was prepared, as He knew how to change the end of any situation for the better; to those that love Him and are the called according to His great purpose.
I'm not prepared to limit God's powers or the dimensions He might use to teach and prepare mankind for love and fellowship as family. I don't think I know enough or that man has the knowledge to say "God can not", although in our pride we may imagine Him limited to our own paltry powers over life, death, and the dimensions of the universe. As far as I know and can prove, God is able even if I cannot

Well, what we all want to be able to do all day, Relax and enjoy the day for the gift that it is.

God Bless

Everyday I get up for work and brush my teeth wishing Adam had taken the “blue pill.” :help:

Lets see, no rain, no cloths, just pull your food off the local trees and spending time with the perfect woman like in one of those south pacific deserted island fantasy's.

Sounds strange to me too, who would ever thing of such at thing!

I can speculate....that man and woman would have had children..... and it would not have been painful.
The children would have been wonderful, 100 % of the time.
Wonderful husband.
Wonderful wife.

No sin.
No yuck.

I'll take it.
Any day. :D

...looking forward to Heaven.

We must allow for some theoretical, sanctified "guesses" here as the Genesis account is not that elaborately clear. I am of the opinion that the Garden of Eden could have and probably was as large as one of our Eastern States for breadth and length. God has never done His creative works by a slim budgeted fashion but rather upon a grand scale in keeping with His own limitless immensity. So, Adam and Eve had plenty to do as they had plenty of space in which to explore. I also have wondered what "keeping the garden" meant, but I do know that it has something to do with the fact that he, Adam, was made "in the image of God" and therefore was to act just like God, up to a point. Since God was a creative Being by the very garden in which the man and woman were, Adam was likewise expected to be a creative being in that garden and this must figure into those words "keep the garden" in some way or another. When we get to heaven, I will not pass up the opportunity of putting this one to Adam! It is also clear to me that this seemingly finite experience of the Garden of Eden, (Even if it was the size of Connecticut,) was only a proving grounds for the man and woman to determine if they were worthy of the real inheritance. Unless I am mistaken, the full, worldly inheritance of Adam, had he not fallen, is rotating majestically above our heads at night in it's twinkling and solemn serenity.
