Does everyone here believe that protestants and Roman Catholics should worship together?

personally, I find the collective worship of ALL christians to be vital to the survival and spread of our faith in this world. We believe in the same God, who loves and cares for us all. Some day soon, we will be forced to band together to fight the antichrist and evil in order to usher in the second coming. Why not start now? As a strongly opinionated Roman Catholic, I was an officer, then vice president and finally President of a local Presbyterian (basically all protestant faiths welcome) youth group. I took the oppurtunity to learn from my protestant brothers and sisters and was appalled at the way they treated me with disdain. If we all just pushed forward with one motion, can you imagine how strong a force we could become for our Lord?

I like Catholics and have quite a few Catholic friends (even one guy who is about to become a Catholic priest), they don't really like my church at all....

They are really rascist and negative sometimes but most of the time pretty nice I guess, not that I'm perfect at all, they pray to saints and have more faith in rituals than Jesus in my opinion, they make images of things in heaven and on earth, a few Priests insist on being called Father.... but Jesus said that we shouldn't call anyone Father who isn't our Father right?

I'm not trying to offend anyone, I would just like clarity on the matter.

Hi jamiper, We as Christians are told not to judge others, but I do understand were you are coming from,. I was brought up as a catholic in my childhood, draged to church every sunday and made to go to confession every saturday. pray to saints etc. It was not until I was in my 40s that some one took the time to tell me about Jesus and what HE required of me and that I could not get to heaven by any acts I do or other people do, i was told if I belived in my heart that Jesus died for me to clean me of my sins, because I or nobody else could do it for me and it was only by the grace of God. If I asked Jesus to come into my life and forgive me for all I had done wrong, then I would have eternity with God in heaven. The only way to Salvation is through Jesus Christ, I can't inherit it through my birth blood, as I said it is only through the grace of God. My point is, it is not our place to judge-But it is our responsibility to point those who are misled to Jesus. And here is scripture to back up my claims.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
... Titus 3:4-5

But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 1As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
...Romans 10:8-11

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ
