CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am looking forward to it too.. I not long ago finished reading the four books in the series.. I really enjoyed them.. probably eclipse was my favourite though for some reason.. I guess Edwards undying.. LOL.. attention and devotion to Bella really got me.. I would have years ago not read this.. but the kids has the first movie out and I just happened to watch a bit in passing and it grabbed me.. Maybe I should scream and enjoy myself along with the kids..

i always just figured that was Meyers playing up the humble side of Bella's personality. Not necessarily that she was plain, but that that was how Bella saw herself.
but i could be forgetting or missing something too.

plain isn't ugly. Kristen Stewart qualifies as plain in my eyes. I thought most of them were really well cast....except Rosalie. She doesn't come close for me...Esme is a little disappointing as well.

Quite flawed
I agree. The girl who plays Rosalie, Nikki Reed, is actually quite pretty, but she's naturally a brunette and looks odd as a blonde. She'd previously worked with Catherine Hardwicke on 13, so that's probably why she got cast.
