Ecclesiastes

Anybody ever read the book of Ecclesiastes? I usually have a hard time reading the Old Testament because many things seem so obscure or confusing, but Ecclesiastes made a lot of sense to me. I guess I could say that I related to it a lot.

It's really quite amazing that a book that gives observations of life thousands of years ago still holds many truths today.

I suggest you read it if you get a chance, it's pretty short.

I really like Ecclesiastes, too. It speaks just as much about our society as about the society of the Jews hundreds of years before Christ. How many of the things we do are all about vanity?

Vanitas vanitatum, dixit Ecclesiastes: vanitas vanitatum, omnia vanitas.

I'm not very familiar with Wisdom. Maybe that'll be the next book I read.
