  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Most people don't know their rights.

But if it was in plain sight, can't the cops search the vehicle as that can be considered probable cause? Or at the very least any evidence obtained in plain view would be admissible, no?

Regardless the entire case is absurd. So even if they thought it was meth residue, does it really take a month to get results from the test? And as you correctly pointed out, being ordered to go to drug counseling is guilty until proven innocent. This woman is due for a decent settlement.

Didn't see where it said she was poor, but I agree - the whole situation sucks, regardless.

Arrested, re-arrested, loss of job... all because of a little spaghetti sauce on a spoon.

I'm thinking she'll make most of it back though on the lawsuit and appearances on local talk-shows. :)

I thought it was pretty evident by her eating Spaghetti-Os out of a can in her car.

It shouldn't take that long to ensure that those aren't things used for making meth. In fact, I could do that in one day, as long as there is an NMR available.

Now, ensuring that it was in fact spagetti sauce (and confirming the producer) would be a bit harder.

I'm of the opinion that they thought this woman was caught red-handed (or ginger-handed, heh) and didn't rush through the results for that reason. I can't think of any other reason why should she would be treated in such a manner. It's really awful, and I hope she gets very well compensated indeed, and whoever was behind this whole mess gets summarily fired from his/her/their jobs.
