Our kids have always been allowed to order what they like. Many restraunts here will make regular meals in kid sizes & we always let them place their own order. The older ones were very comfortable doing this by the time they began working.

I have been wanting a steak since I saw the post about a filet. So tonight in the store I had asked the butcher about chicken that was on sale and while he was changing the price on a small pack because it was a family pack on sale I saw a filet that was sort of beginning to change colors a little. Not bad but just aging like they do.

So, I grabbed it and said when are you marking this down. He said in two days, I jokingly told him if it doesn't sell by tomorrow when I get off work you can mark it down for me. He said I will mark it down for you today. So we got steak that was $18.99lb for $8.99lb.

LOL! I was just gonna post when I saw you had posted--to yell at you for making me crave steak!!

What a great deal!! I love when I find great steaks marked down (in fact that's the only time I buy them )

The guy that had been borrowing my kitchen broke the handle to my grill outside so I had to use the George Forman. That is the awesome thing about a filet it doesn't matter where you cook it, it cuts like butter, lol.
