eating disorder

My best friend just confided in me that she is trying to come to terms with the fact that she has an eating disorder, please pray for her, i know God is there for her, but she just can't see that right now. If any of you have any advice I could tell her, please let me know

As a recovering compulsive overeatter, I feel for your friend.

I also know that the food itself is not the issue, so along with prayer, it's good for her to start taking a look at herself and her life and see if there are some issues that she's not dealt with....to maybe understand what has driven her to use food, or the lack thereof, or the obsessive control of food (whichever is the case for her) as a sort of self-medication.

I know this is kinda basic and all, but it's a start....

LalithaGreen, I understand the pain your friend is going through because I suffered from bulimia for over a year. Please let your friend know you are there for her. I would also encourage your friend to get professional help.
