I'm having problems with churches, in particular the chinese churches that places superstition in high priority in interpertating the Bible rather than taking context as high priority.

I have tried to comment with the adults of the church, and their comment has been, one that still infuriates me, you're still young, you'll understand someday.

Thats it...no proof, don't learn anything except the person themselves...

One of the things is karma....they believe if you something bad to someone like laugh at their disease...then someday you'll recieve that disease. Their proof for that is...an eye for an eye, an ear for an ear...etc.....

Very dodgy proof....

Is there action you believe I can take or am I wrong in everysense?

Hmm...I should email the pastor soon....see what they have to say about this!

The church you are refering to is doing something that we are all guilty of at one time or another in our lives. They are reading the scripture through the filter of their culture and not the filter of the Holy Spirit. You should take it to their pastor and if he does not respond, and they have a parent organization that is a governing body you should take it to them next. The eye for an eye is done away with in the New Covenant and is not a Christian principle neither are we under it. We are under Grace through Christ's work on the cross and nothing more. Do remember to approach it with respect and correct with scripture and nothing more!

In the backroads of deep south we have churches that are very old and full of superstition. I have seen some who mixed the superstition with the teaching. I have also seen where some had to be delivered from demonic oppression because of this.
