Anyone watch this?

http://www.channel4.com/health/microsites/J/jamie_eat/

Any reactions? Do these kind of shows make much impact on what you choose to eat? Do you know much about what you are eating? Do you have any 'rules' about what you will, and will not eat?
I missed the programme but I did see Hugh's Chicken Run and in answering "Do these kind of shows make much impact on what you choose to eat?" I think they can. Even before the show I made an effort to buy free range chickens but this programme hit home and convinced me to continue to buy free range and that his aims are perfectly just.

I would have to agree, like you I go out of my way to try and buy the best produced and best quality food I can afford. However it wouldn't be the first time if I was doing the opposite from everyone else. Just wanted to know. How is the non smoking going?

Absolutely, I don't mind spending a little extra on my food and drink to get the best quality and ethically produced stuff. After all I don't have a family to support, a car to fund, or any other money absorbing thing, so I can generally afford those little extras. I usually shop in the farmer's shops, butchers, green grocers, and other local businesses.

I had a relapse over the Xmas/NY period and only now have I stopped again. You don't realise as a smoker how different it is when your lungs are continually inhaling smoke. The ability to breathe freely.
