All to often I run into Christians, some even pastors, that think evolution and Christianity go hand in hand. What I came up with is a paragraph that makes direct points on why Christians should not accept evolution with links to AIG for more indepth information. Let me know what you think and if there would be any improvements I could make to it. I plan on just saving the post in a text file so I can copy paste when ever needed in the future.
I don't have a problem with evolution since it doesn't happen except with varation which doesn't add any new information. That means you'll never get a 1 cell creature to make it's way to a human even given billions of years. Evolution and the Christian God don't go hand in hand. A young earth wasn't really a big issue with Christians until Darwin made the idea popular. Before then most Church fathers believed in a young earth. Genesis clearly shows creation took place in 6 - 24 hour days. Evolution teaches death and suffering before the fall of man, this is wrong. Evolution has a totally different creation order then that of the Bible. Evolution doesn't hold up to science we observe and in fact requires faith to believe that it really happened. Why Christians would accept a bad idea like evolution when God clearly tells us how it happens is beyond me.
