East Coast Storm check in

This thread is to make sure all our East Coast friends and family are okie dokie after the superstorm Sandy.

Everything seems to be okay here in the DC area. Minor power outages.

i haven't prayed for a soul (either on CF or otherwise) since this storm hit. i feel guiltly as i should. thanks for the reminder top poster. time to sign off now and do just that.

I just got off the phone with my parents in NJ. They've been without power since last night, and a tree branch fell in the garden, but they're otherwise okay. My dad wants to explore other parts of town to see how it fared, but my mom doesn't think that's a good idea at this time.

Central NC escaped largely unscathed. We've had nearly constant light breeze and some drizzle, but nothing major.

Girlfriend parents lost power and had a few trees knocked down, my parents are fine. University cancelled class yesterday.

Another NC check in, also just winds and rains to report, and those have been mild. (From somewhat west of Miles)
I do have a former co-worker who's in NY and she doesn't have power but seems to be doing ok otherwise.

Where I live, we didn't get hit that bad besides 50-80mph winds and a lot of rain. Heck, the day that was supposed to be the worst for us, I was able to speed on the highway on my commute to work.

However, east and southeast of here got hit terribly hard.

PA here...although I'm quite inland, we got some good rains and gusty winds. Nothin' too bad...just a bad leak in the basement and some downed branches.

yeah even here in Michigan it got gusty and rainy. People lost power here as well.

Wow!! I'm in central Ohio, we had some strong winds that blew all of the leaves off the trees, and some rain but that's about it. I was hoping for some snow!!
