Anyone play this great game? The learning curve is pretty steep and the manual is sorely lacking but once you learn how everything works, it is capable of some deep strategy. Not to mention the beautiful 3D graphics and fully transformable landscape. I particularly love the order recording feature and issuing orders while paused.
On one skirmish map, I will build a large fleet of attack choppers (playing as Eurasian Dynasty) and record orders for them to fly a wide arc around the enemy base and attack from the rear. I then run my ground troops up, hit the base hard and pull back, drawing all their mobile forces out front, select choppers and execute, then go back to my ground war while they fly the preset pattern and attack from the rear with only building based defenses, they decimate the base while I decimate the mobiles.
On one of the campaign maps, I had to get through a valley with barricades and guard units at the end. Instead of beating my way through by attrition, I just set one of my builder units to dig a long tunnel under the plateau while I set up my base, then I moved a strike force through the tunnel and hit the barricade from the outside.
I never got to play much online as I couldn't find many people who had the game. Anyone else ever played it? If you can find it used or in the bargain bin, I highly recommend it.
