  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm so sorry, you ladies are going to be sick to death of hearing from me.

But I have a question. Well 2.

Did anyone suffer from really bad (and painful) diarreah durring their early pregnancy? I've had it 2 days in a row and I haven't really eaten anything out of the ordinary. And I get REALLY bad cramps with it too. Almost like the kind of cramps I sometimes get (with diarreah) when I'm on my period.

ALSO- I can't imagine that I would be hungry already but the past 2 days I've been STARVING. I ate a pretty good breakfast around 7:45. By 9 I had to have a handful of almonds because I thought I was going to pass out. It's 10 now and I'm hungry again :swoon: I cannot for the life of me imagine that I should be this hungry this early? I don't want to snack my 9 months away but really... how on earth can I eat so I'm full but not gain 100lbs???

Hi and congratulations on your pregnancy! :)

I didn't experience diarrhea at the start of my pregnancy, I was opposite, I suffered terrible constipation to the point where I wished I had diarrhea lol.

I did feel hungry all the time like you are just now, but that only lasted until week 7 when the morning sickness started (well all day sickness is more correct) Enjoy your food whilst you can in case you have m/s as if you're like me, you'll struggle to enjoy a decent meal.

Is this your first pregnancy?

We're never going to get sick of hearing from you! :)

I did not have the diarrhea, but my appetite was out of control sometimes! It really amazed me how little I could control it, I didn't just want to eat, I HAD to eat! But it does fluctuate, you're not going to be ravenous your entire pregnancy. If it seems excessive though, just make your snacks healthly ones. Also eating foods that have more fiber will make you feel fuller longer, but you'll want to wait on that now until your other issue clears up. :D

Constipation is more usual, but diarrhoea is my pregnancy symptom. Mine doesn't die down until about 20 weeks. The cramps are probably a combination of growing pains, some cramping, and gas from your digestive system.

I've tried to change my diet to help it go, but it's hormonal, you can improve it but in my experience not eliminate it. Just make sure you drink plenty of water.

Let's see, early pregnancy syptoms... i've had 3 babies before this current pregnancy, so i'm really familiar with them by now.

It's common to have bowel problems.... I get constipated... but others can get diarrhea... it sucks and doesn't help the morning sickness, constipation.. your body will react in different ways, the bowels slow down, the muscle movements.. so it can take things a while.... you might start noticing that.

Eating? Yes, i don't care about how few calories everyone says you have to have.......... your or my appetite increased big time! Be careful because I really put on weight when I get pregnant:sigh: What i'm finding now is that it's ok to eat frequently, but when you eat, don't overeat. They say 6 small meals a day... i'm not counting, if I feel truly hungry I will eat, and well, i'm trying to be good about stopping though sometimes I go a little overboard.

Your first trimester particularly your first couple months it's VERY important to get your folic acid, if you haven't already started take prenatal vitamins, you can get them over the counter but when you go for your first ob exam they may offer a prescription for better vitamins. Eat things rich in folic acid right now like if you like spinach, have it... i've been munching on fresh spinach salad, about to have some more... try to eat foods loaded with nutrients because right now the nervous system is developing and you need the nutrients now more then ever to help prevent spinal cord defects that can cripple them for life and such. Not to scare you, but at your point of development right now it's the most important that you eat well while the organs are developing.

Tylenol, not ibuprofen, 20 oz of caffeine a day, don't know about alcohol....

those are just a few, hope i'm not bombarding you.

Ok, now this may sound gross, but your vaginal discharge changes too. Mine gets thin and water and will leave my panties continuously wet and can even spell like pee, so I've grown accustomed to panty liners.

Your breats will be very sensitive, and they'll increase in size or even your width may increase... finding a comfortable bra during my pregnancies has always been one of my biggest challenges.

Heart burn... early on because of hormones, later because of hormones and the baby pressing against organs. I have some rolaids with gas chews in my purse for that very reason.

They say it's good to snack on crackers, helps with the cravings and sickness when and if it comes.

I'm getting sick at times, but in my experience it's mild compared to what it will be in a few weeks, maybe i'll get lucky with this one and not experience it. well, i was going somewhere with that but forgot...

speaking of which, absentmindedness, moodiness and increased emotionalness.. nightmares... those are all symptoms of pregnancies hormones.

I always dreamt about something happening to my baby or about breastfeeding, i craved it when I was pregnant, especially towards the end.

Ooooh I am soooooooooooooo glad you said something about the wetness!!!!! Oh my word I think the biggest "give away" that I may be pregnant was that I was having the weirdest smell down there. The past few days my panties are ALWAYS wet and often smells like I peed myself :sorry: I didn't want to say anything because I thought I was gross or something

The other thing...the past 2 nights I've had the strangest most vivid dreams.... Oh and I got up at least 4 times last night to pee :swoon:

Yup, waking up Several times a night to pee is totally common. Insomnia is common also (for some women) and vivid dreaming is also really common.

I had insomnia with Liam. It was so incredibly frustrating to be exhausted and then unable to sleep. I had more sleep issues with him - I would go from being so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open to being unable to sleep.
