Just wondering who all uses this?

Did you just download it? Did you have any problems?

Did anyone also pick up the CD? Anybody have experience with the CD?

Here is what all comes on the current CD available.
I like having a CD for easy transference if I change PCs.

I do have broadband. I may download a few things to start with.
Someone else on the board says they are downloading a few different elements at a time.

I have downloaded some games before too and bought the CD for backup.
Just my personal choice.
Plus for e-Sword helps support the free software opportunity.

Yes caitlin you only download the program bit by bit choose only that which you want.I shall give you the link to enable you to have the bible export tool which will give you a much greater choice .
immanuelhomepage.org
this will enable you to get almost any bible you want and it fits right into the e-sword program automatic be warned however even with broadband this takes about 20 minutes . Well worth it though IMHO bible study is faster and more in depth than previously possible .Look forward to hearing how you get on.
Be blessed.:)

Good Day, FreeGrace

Thanks for that link as I use e-sword all the time, and download a couple of Modules a month. I am hoping that they will soon add a copy of the nasb as I see a lot of people using it and I would love to have it.

Peace to u,

Bill

Those of you who use e-Sword, I would just remind you that the author of the program is supported by donations. He does a great service for the Christian community by offering such quality Bible software for free, so if you are financially able to help his cause out and "reward" him for his labors, you will be doing a good deed.

I just wanted to mention that, since most people just think, "Hey, it's free!" and they don't think about all the time that was spent making it -- time that probably could have been spent in other ways much more profitable for the author's own benefit.

On a side note, does anyone know how to turn off Strong's numbers in the text (in the main Bible text window)? I looked but could not find a way to do it.
Every version that has the Strong's Numbers available, also has a file that goes with it- without Strong's Numbers. This is the only way I know of- to have two copies of the KJV, NASB, etc, installed.

(Most translations are NOT available with Strong's Numbers, though)

E-Sword is an excellent tool.

I use it for reference and study. Not really for reading as I prefer a book I can hold and turn pages in.....

FYI:
The NASB and Amplified are available but you have to pay the Lockman foundation $20 each for an unlock code in order to install them. Not a bad deal when you consider what people pay for some Bibles.
