Hi Folks,
Has anyone here tried using e-Sword? Its a free Bible software program I use. I've used a number of Bible software programs (including ones that cost) and still am most pleased w/e-Sword. Seriously, this is no sales pitch (well it is, but I'm not an e-Sword employee or in any way related to e-Sword other than as a loyal user). Its got a large number of Bible versions (KJV, God's Word, Bible in Basic English, The Message, Analytical-Literal Text, Greek New Testament), Commentaries (Wesley's, Henry's, Clarke's), Concordances (Thayer's, BDB's, Strong's), and a bunch of other cool gadgets.
The one downside of the software is that it doesn't have as many modules available (b/c its free the software includes mainly older translations) however you can purchase a license to use the NASB w/it, etc.

e-sword.net is correct. Also, if you need some newer Bible versions bible.crosswalk.com offers the NLT, NASB, etc. for free for viewing online.

Yeah, tanx for that. They don't have NIV for copyright reasons, but I see they have a lot of other ones.

I have it as well I've had it for a few years now. And I love it, However I also have libronix (logos) and I like it as well I haven't quite learned all the ins and outs orf libronix but it is a good program

I use Logos myself. It's the best out there.

Logos has the greatest variety of modules available, in this way it beats every other Bible software program available. However I personally prefer e-Swords interface over Logos. I found it easy to learn and with a great variety of options. Maybe someday Logos modules will be compatible with e-Sword and I can have the best of both worlds.
