Does anyone else use e-sword to study the bible?

I have just downloaded it a few days ago and have found it very usefull so far.  I like the connections between everything (ex. definitions, commentaries, like versus, etc).

I was just wondering who else used it and any helpfull tips on it as I am not very familiar with it yet, but am catching on pretty good.  I have dowloaded every free item that is on the website, from the different bible translations to the different graphics.  The only thing I lack is the NASB translation for it which I hope to get in the next few weeks, and most of the STEP addons.

If you dont know what I am talking about go here http://www.e-sword.net/ and take a look for yourself.

GOD BLESS!!

O and just for some info in case you have no desire to check out the site...

There are:

48 bible translations including several english, greek, hebrew, spanish, latin, etc.  (all are free except the NASB, its $20)

14 commentaries from various different religious backgrounds of men.

12 different dictionaries such as Easton's, Strong's, Vine's, etc.

Along with many other things such as daily devotions, pictures and maps, study topics, etc.

This is a free program that I found usefull and I would like to spread the word about it to others because I think it is a good usefull study tool.

GOD BLESS!!

i've been using e-sword for about half a year already. The major good point about it is the convenient link to the hebrew or greek translation after almost every word. And when i click on the link, it shows up what the definition in hebrew or greek is conveniently.

As for the commentaries it comes with, i find that the matthew henry and the Gill's commentary tend to take certain verses to extremes and sometimes it makes me wonder how did they arrive at this conclusion. Well, that's my thought about them...i would prefer a more conservative approach actually. That's why i don't utilize them.

I've tried online bible too, but i guess e-sword is still better. What i would prefer is an NIV version in it...:)

I am glad you guys are enjoying it as much as I.  I would like to have each and every translation of the bible to crossreference to.  As far as the commentaries go, I too take some of them with a grain of salt.  I guess thats why there are so many different ones.

Any of you guys have any good study or topic notes of your own that you would like to share?

GOD BLESS!!
