What's this e-Sword thing? I was wondering if anyone had any computer Bible things. Might be interesting to get my hands on something like that.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay, thanks. Now that I have it, what can I do with it? What is it good for? I mean, I have a Bible that I study. How do I use it, number one, as there is no real tutorial on this program. And two, what does it have to offer that a normal Bible does not, and how do I gain access to those advantages?

It has alot of things you can use. You can download various versions of the Bible and compare them. It has a dictionary. You can do searches by words or topics. It has alot of study material ie. Barnes Gill, Clark, Henry, etc. There is room to put your own study notes . It has maps of Isreal. Theres lots there. Just download from the site and open it up and play around a while. Go to the downloads page. Where it says download and you see e-sword, click on the arrow on the right. It will show you bibles, commentaries, dictionary, etc.
