E-Sword & Ubuntu?

Anyone using E-Sword with Ubuntu? I installed the new Ubuntu 10.10 today. Haven't tried E-Sword with it yet.

I was using E-Sword in Windows 7. It's a VERY nice program.

I used the e-sword version for mac for a long time till I got a super $10 deal on Quickverse so I mostly use that now. I should check out the new macsword and see what's new.

Using e-Sword-installer_101010, it was very easy to get e-Sword 9.7.2 running on Xubuntu 10.10. The hardest part was remembering how to edit the registry for single line tabs. e-Sword-installer_101010 is maintained by the Ubuntu Christian Edition development team.

There is not a version of e-Sword for the Macintosh platform. Mac e-Sword is a package that includes e-Sword 9.0.2 and DarWine 0.9.57. Rick Meyers is currently recommending CrossOver to Mac users that want to use e-Sword.

I should check out the new macsword and see what's new.

Please don't confuse MacSword, and the other programs from The Sword Project with e-Sword. jonathon
