  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What is the best email providers, both paid and free?

Looking to change providers.

Thanks. :)
I've used Yahoo and Gmail for a dozen years. Couldn't get by without them. And they're both free. I've also heard Thunderbird is good, but I have no experience with it. I don't see any point in paying for a service when you have a choice of some good free ones.

Thanks for your reply - I use Gmail for my daily emails, but was thinking for something a little different for not so important emails. ;)

Since you use Gmail, you probably know about filters and labels. You might be able to use them for your not-so-important emails. Plus, Gmail has this new Inbox app that may help in that regard. (I never looked at it since I keep my inbox at zero without any trouble.)

Or you may want to use Yahoo or Thunderbird for your unimportant emails. Also, if you want throwaway email addresses (e.g., for signing up for stuff that you don't want to get spammed from), there's always Mailinator.

Great advice thanks.
Sometimes I don't like using my main email for some folks, but I'll look into Thunderbird and the disposable email clients.

I think yahoo has throwaway addresses, but I wouldn't use them for anything else. I just mothballed an account because the feature set is so poor. There's always a second gmail account. Fastmail is very good, but not free. Gmail has the extra advantage of having the best browser extensions.

Free: Reliable and Secure: Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Yandex
Free: Throwaway: AOL, Fastmail etc.

Thunderbird is not an email service provider. It is an email client.

I was tired of the ads in Yahoo email so I found Inbox.com; no ads at all; has it's own search engine, 5GB of storage and is fast. About the only problem with it is getting the name mixed up with your other inboxes from other sites. The link:
