I love sending ecards to friends and family. Dayspring has beautiful cards. Heartlight.com has many ecards from verses--you can search for a card that features a specific verse.

about eight years ago, i had gotten out of the good habit of going to church. i mean, i had God in my life, but i seemed to have less and less time to 'be' where i needed to be, when i needed to be.
a friend sent me an e-card one day, an inspirational christian card, complete with music and java effects. it was breathtaking and the first one i had ever received. we lived in a small town at the time, and that night, my daughter, olivia and i were driving around. it was a friday night. we were going to the dairy queen and we passed by a small church called Oak Grove. there seemed to be some sort of revival going on inside, and i just instinctively pulled into the small dirt lot in front of it. we went inside, and the rest is good history.
i won't give claim to only receiving the card as to our coming into that church family, but God does do His handiwork in oh so many mysterious ways.

Last night Mandy and I were having a discussion about the importance of encouraging words to and from others. We never know what just one little seemingly insignificant remark might mean to someone else.
She recently posted on another message board, in a room for ladies only, about some of the struggles she was having. That group of young women begain to share with her some of the struggles they had and how God had brought them to the other side. They just wrapped their arms around her and loved her. It was such an encouragement to her. Two days later she is walking in freedom because of this encouragement from friends.
Also, because she came forward with her need, others began to open up, some of them in more difficult circumstance., One of them is in an abusive relationship with her parents. She had never been able to tell anyone before, because her family is pretty well known and they are seen as the model family. Her identity is still unknown to all except one of the ladies who posted her story for her. Perhaps it will lead to help and healing for her.
This has nothing to do with ecards, but communicating God's love, whatever the means, is never wasted. It may give just enough hope to someone who is without any.
