DXM for OCD

I have a conviction for meth. Pain killers pot but I use DXM when I'm going thru a lapse and feel no conviction. To each his own and what some would say is a sin I do not. Why do I have convictions for some and others I don't IDK? It puzzles me but I like to know I'm in control and some ppl don't get it that we are suffering.

DXM is the active agent in most cough and cold drugs. If you take it in large doses it almost becomes a psychadelic. It just removes my fears so that I can move on. Not the best was to treating my pain but now I'm starting to worry that I'm becoming addicted to it and I don'tnt to go down the road of drug use again.

I have a problem with DXM too i know a good amount about it, well you don't think it's a problem for you so i'll just say i use it too, but i do have a problem. I steal several bottles day usually sometimes im not in the mood but a lot of the tiems iw ill break down and get it.

I start to feel energetic wtih one bottle, my senses numb so i can not feel pain i feel un inhibited and more sociable and confident, higher doses likea nother bottle is start gettign psychotic, thinking about God and the spirit world and the occult and energy and stuff like feeling like i am on a path a mission smoe kind of journey it's weird, i start feeling like i am becoming enlightened to thing and growing spiritually, i can read people really well and see that they are "fake" or "plastic" as i put it, i was in a bar on it and i felt like everyone was so fake... i just laughed at them...lol.

it makes me want to start stealing like i feel ike people aren't watching me my parnoia is gone so i get really slick and start stealing all kinds of stuff food drinks electronics i start scheming to break [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] and get money it's bad.

it really messes me up man that's all i c an say.

DXM is an acronym for Dextromethorphanan Hbr, a synthetic compound which is synthesized from morphine... it is in a lot of cough syrups, as in low doses it is an effective cough suppresant, in large doses it is psychoactive... it's not psychedelic like LSD or Mushroom and such, its actually ina class of drugs called Dissociative which is in the same category as Ketamine and PCP...

IT causes anasthecia you can't feel pain, i can beat the heck outta myself and not feel it. It causes sensory distortions of size and distance in high doses i couldn't even walk on it. I causes a state of dissociation from the body where i feel like third person watching my self yet still in control... in high doses, it causes out of body experiences, as ketamine does...

it's a pretty strong drug to be legal...

Guess what!. I just got arrested for stealing robotussin and now I feel I have hit rock botton. It throws me back into the old days when I didn't care. There will be a warrent out for me in cleveland county so I must stay on my toe's. this is God way of forming discipline on me.

dang man thats no fun, i don't know about God getting you busted to show you a lesson it just happens when you're doing illegal stuff like that, i've never got busted doign it course theres always a chance, i used to believe god watches out for my while i shoplift lol

I'm telling everybody here. That God will not be mocked. I have gone thru episodes and OCD fears since staturday and I just feel like I'm in need of more prayers. Cuz ZI don't want to end up in prison.

It's good that you're in a Christian forum, because that shows you at least are trying to have a positive outlook and such. When I was a youth, I abused DXM, amongst many other drugs. You should understand that people often try to find reasons why they abuse a SPECIFIC drug. The reason is always the same, though. Your personal and spiritual life are all messed up. Otherwise, you wouldn't have any reason to use drugs at all.

It's hard for us as humans to resolve every single issue by ourselves. Sometimes, we can, but sometimes, issues within our deep personal lives are so great that we are simply on a path of self-destruction, which I feel that you basically are.

But you are in the right place. It shows that your head is at least sort of in the right place. The only resolution to these deep problems is typically to have a belief system which can really get you "snapped out of it" and make you realize that you are not who you seem to be when you use drugs. Christianity can do this, and has done for me.

Now, do I profess to be a perfect person? LOL. Far from it. I'm just about as bad off as you are right now. But perhaps it seems that I am a bit older and I know that if you earnestly look to God and this belief system, you will see that it can create support for you which you now fill with drugs. That same feeling of emptiness that you fill with drugs can come from a continuing and ever-changing belief in Christianity and the real God.

That's the best I can explain that!

P.S. A drug like DXM will only make a condition like OCD 1000X worse. It is the same for all psychological conditions. Drugs both cause AND make pre-existing psychological conditions worse.

well i mean i don't think GOd is doing it man, it's just you quit the dxm and now your ocd symptoms are coming back, maybe worse cause your serotonin levels and stuff are messed up by the DXM abuse.
