Many people say that there is nothing on TV. Of all the shows on TV, which one is the dumbest? I nominate My Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV. I cannot understand why a parent would want to spend 6 figures on their daughter's 16th birthday?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would have to say Pirate Master is the dumbest, if not the most disappointing show this season.

Flava of Love is pretty pointless-it's all about rapper Flava Flav trying to get a new girlfriend.
As an added bonus, contestant New York (goes by her nickname) got her own similar show. She's not a nice lady, let's just say that. But she "loves Jesus" and goes to church weekly. Whatever, "lady".
It looks like rocker Brett Michaels has his own version coming up, too.
Certain family members who shall not be named love this stuff! I figured that I'd warn you.

Oooh, I have a joke about Flava Flav.
Flava Flav decided to try out for the NFL Minnesota Vikings and participated in thier training camp. When game time game, Flava Flav was one of the starters on the field. Unfortunately, Flav was serioiusly injured when he forgot to take off his oversize clock and was tackled from behind, choking him. When reporters later asked why Flav tried out for the Vikings, Flava Flav said "They wear da same hat as da Flava Flav."

I didn't even know Scott Baio was the guy from Charles in Charge. I always assumed Charles was played by Tony Danza from Who's The Boss. By the way, I think Charles in Charge is a ripoff of Who's The Boss.

Honestly, I think TV is better right now than it has been in a long time. Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Extras, Weeds, Lost, The Wire, and the Office are all critically acclaimed shows that are doing pretty well in ratings. And even though we have lost a few great shows in the past year or two (Arrested Development, The West Wing, Studio 60, The Sopranos, Veronica Mars, etc.) I think writers are starting to utilize the strength of the medium for the most part (and this is evidenced by the increased number of character-driven shows).
That's not to say that there isn't anything bad on television - as long as people are tuning in to watch shows like According to Jim and Mind of Mencia, there will be terrible shows on the air. But I can't remember a time when there has been this many TV shows worth watching during a given week.
But for what it's worth, I would say that the dumbest TV show award should go to every reality show ever.

Well my newest guilty pleasure has got to be the worse show on television- The Girls Next Door... it's horrible. I know how terrible it is, but I just love it

I don't watch much TV anymore, but I am a junk-TV lover. Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancee, Batchelor, Amazing Race, etc, etc, etc.
However, they aren't completely junk because you do learn from them. Human interaction, new places and experiences and new ideas. While they may not suit you, they are interesting points of view to visit.

That one was just canceled.
I love "Girls Next Door". I watch it with my youngest and tell her not to be that stupid. She just rolls her eyes and laughs at how dumb they are.
I think that Jerry Springer is pretty stupid, Tyra's show too. I don't watch either, but I've heard enough about them that I never want to see them.

I'm suprised that Jerry Springer has not been cancelled yet. It was popular 10 years ago, but now it's just dumb. Even still, for some reason I think My Super Sweet 16 is dumber than Jerry Springer.
