  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have a greyhound and two Italian greyhounds. The Italians are basically miniatures. Many people haven't seen them before and I get the oddest questions like, "Is that a baby deer?" or "Is that a Kangaroo?" :D . Well this one happened with my greyhound Lefty, and it takes the cake. Lefty is a beuatiful brindle color (sort of a tiger striped pattern). He is a fairly big male and he kind of swaggers when he walks. I've always thought he had a slight resemblance to a tiger. Well yesterday two young boys, about 6th or 7th grade came skateboarding past the dog park where we were about to enter. One said in all seriousness, "Hey is that part lion?"

lol...did you say "yes!"? Aren't people funny! Now, I've seen an Italian greyhound and I def didn't think it was a kangaroo! I work in a vet clinic and I've found out that there is alot I must just take for granted. Some of the questions I get seem so basic and common sense that it really scares me to find out these people have pets!!

My dad has a chihuahua/dachsund mix...sounds ugly but he's really quite adorable. He looks more like a miniature pincher mix to me and he's got all the perfect markings of a rottweiler. So my dad calls him his rottenweiler or his miniature rottweiler and so far he's had two guys totally convinced that's what he really was!

I love the Rottenweiner thing!!! My friend used to help @ the SPCA and there was a Rottweiler Bassette Hound mix in there. Apaarently it loked like a Rottie, but with very short stubby legs.

:D Oh no!! Now that would be very interesting to see!!! I see alot of mix breeds and some of them sound like they would just be the ugliest thing on 4 legs, but they are actually quite adorable. Although I do think I've come across 2 dogs that just got all the bad genes from both parents and truly are the ugliest dogs I've ever seen!!

i've seen a baby deer up close before, at a horse training seminar, the guy found the foal near the doe that got hit by a car, and he bottle fed the baby deer. it was totally comfortable around people and it ran around witht the dogs. it's pretty wild to be able to pet a deer.

funny story about your tigerdog, and the mini rotty. some combinations of critters turn out better than others.
