Dumb Question

This topic brings another question to my mind. Everyone has said that you are born into sin. That, because we are born into sin we are all sinners, even before we sin. This doesn't make any sense in my head.

Are we all murderers, even if we never murder someone? Does the ability to do something mean that we are the people that do that thing?

Are we all rapists?

I really don't get it.

I read something yesterday that explained it a little better to me. We are born with a sin nature, just as a baby tiger who has just been born is a natural born killer...though he may not yet have killed. We all possess a sin nature, a tendency to be selfish, lie, etc, even though as young children and infants we may not have yet sinned.

Does that make any sense whatsover?

Yes, that makes total sense.

Though I would still debate that because we possess a sinful nature, doesn't make us sinners if we haven't sinned.
