I actually need some legal help more than anything -- I take that back i need forgiveness -- then i need legal help. I am facing a felony charge because there was someone (In the car with me) who got hurt. He is doing fine now but because he was hurt they are felony charges. Its a first offense but still this scares me to death! here is the guy I think im going to work with (the lawyer) Mike Ross a Defense attorney in San Francisco. I am guilty but of course i don't want a felony on my record. Tell me what you think i should do.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think you need to work with your attorney and pray to Jesus to meet the need(s) you have right now. I'm sorry you are in such trouble. I am praying for you.

Son of the Light
Hey, i had a similar thing happen to me two years ago...i am just now clearing it all up. This coming Tuesday i have a sentencing hearing, but i have managed to stay out of jail by the grace of God. Since i got arrested, a lot has changed. Most importantly, i have been sober just short of two years.
God used my biggest screw up ever to catch my attention and bring me back on the right path. Now, life free from drugs and alcohol is really awesome.
I just want you to know, i know how you are feeling right now. The sooner you can take positive steps toward recovery, the easier your situation is going to be. Just live one day at a time, trusting God. He is all we really have anyway.
If you'd like insights and/or support with this situation, send me a message. The road to recovery is about one person helping another. I pray God will give you strength to make it out on the other side of this, by relying on him.
