  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There is already another thread in this forum for Keith Green. But I'll answer here.

Keith Green was a Christian Singer / Songwriter in the 1970's and 1980's. He died in an airplane accident along with two of his children in 1982. Keith was an outstanding pianist and wrote songs that ranged from adoring worship of God to scorching chastisement of the sleeping, apathetic church. Some people even considered him to be a prophet.

He was the head of Last Days Ministries in Lindale, TX, which served as a distribution center for his music at "whatever you could afford." He also provided teaching tracts and a monthly newsletter. I believe Last Days Ministries is still in operation today, although it is no longer in Texas. Keith's wife Melodie now resides in the Kansas City area.

I'm sure this doesn't begin to cover all of who Keith Green was, but I would recommend that every Christian who loves music add his music to their collection.
