So much depends on voice actor quality, but given quality, I prefer dubs.

Has anyone noted with American animation how much good actors bring to the table? I can't explain it, but people who are good stage and/or screen actors also seem to be the most effective voice actors.

Now, if you're not going to do the dubs with good actors, then stick to subs. It's not good enough just to grab someone who can read a line.
Speaking about stage and screen actors, we have names like Crispin Freeman, Karen Strassman, Johnny Yong Bosch, Jamieson Price, Cassandra Lee among others who really can do great voice acting. I really love how these voice actors are able to pull it off splendidly.

I have to say that having Accel World and Fate/ Zero's English being dubbed just made myself say that the English dubbed ones are awesome. I really love their English voices a lot since they fit. They all fit and I love how the majority of those newbie voice actors in the former made the show worthwhile and so pleasing to my ears. Yes! Miss Kira Buckland and Miss Sarah Williams alongside Mr. Erik Kimerer, Erica Harlacher, and the alongside the veterans like Mr. Kyle Hebert, Mr. Vic Mignogna, Miss Lauren Landa, Miss Stephanie Sheh among others are fantastic! The latter is so full of Grade A English voice actors that I myself could just give it a big thumbs up with it. I am so pleased about them.

I liked both pretty well until the second third? season of saiyuki. A different company bought that season and the normal voice actors weren't used. It was so jarring that I STILL haven't finished that season. I also got tired of hearing the same actors over and over. I'm a really fast reader too so I'm able to read the subtitles and watch the anime characters with no problems.

Sub. I always enjoy the subbed version much better than any dubs.

Even the ones that usual sub people like me tend to like dubbed, like Cowboy Bebop.
......I like it subbed.

I just enjoy hearing the Japanese language. I've gotten used to the way it sounds, and not hearing English is immersive for some reason. It is hard to explain.

Dubs. I'm no good with subs; they distract me. I'll read the English subs even if they're for something in Spanish and I'm a native Spanish speaker. When I watch a Spanish movie by Guillermo del Toro, I have to make sure the subtitles are off. Otherwise I'm like, "Wha? What happened?", and miss a ton of the movie.

Same with anime. I need to be able to see it, not read it.
