Dry Bones

Hey This is Ink and Wash on Synthetic paper 11x14. It was inspired by a documentary on Mt Athos Monastery in Greece where they have a skull room of late Monks. Some have names painted on. (I pasted in some screen shots.) Also I ordered an airbrush so have been watching a lot of youtube airbrush tutorials where skulls are a popular theme, usually with flames or vampire teeth. I like the monk take on the subject better. I'm going to try one with the airbrush when it arrives.

This is amazing! Ink is so fun (but difficult) to use.

Looks great. And an interesting theme. I had heard of some of the monks at Athos, but not about the skulls being kept in this fashion.
