  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

While coming home from college tonight, I and two other ladies were seconds away from being killed by a drunk driver. Please remember us in your prayers, as we are all pretty shook up, and please pray for the woman who was driving drunk. I have to go to bed right now; it's been a long night.

God bless you all, and thank GOD for guardian angels! :holy:

It has always been my prayer and always will be that those who drink would get the message of the danger that exists for them and others if they get behind the wheel. And that this lesson is learned before another death.

Praise God, that in your case no one had to pay for the lesson with their life. Maybe the driver has learned the lesson. I pray this is true!

Thank you all. The woman admitted to being an alcoholic...it was a sad case really. We ended up calling the cops on her...she didn't want to get in trouble because it was her THIRD offense...anyway, by the time the cops got there, she had taken off. They were still looking for her by the time the cops took our information and statements. We ended up leaving, but it looks like we will go to court and testify against her. She has an 18 yr. old daughter...that's about all I know about her...

I was thanking God all night that we were safe...I've never been that close to death before; it's definitely an eye-opening experience. I'm just glad nobody was killed, or hurt, and that the woman got off the street.

Thank you, Father, for keeping Cammie and her friends safe and unhurt. I lift this woman to you...she admittedly has a problem with alcohol. Help her to see what the consequences of her actions could have been, that because of her carelessness, someone could have been killed. Thank you for loving us no matter who we are and what we do...I pray that this lady will understand that. Thank you for keeping those involved safe, and we lift up to you, all of those who haven't been as lucky. In your precious name...Amen
