It is very important that you understand exactly what it means, yes yours and babies blood may not mix, but what if they do?
You need to weigh up the consequences of getting it to not getting it.

But make sure you feel comfortable with your decision, your Dr's and midwife should be able to give you as much info as possible.

Congratulations on your baby girl!

My blood type is O-, so I had to get the Rhogam shot at 28 weeks. Dh is O+, so I definitely didn't want to risk not getting it. The shot was not a big deal at all. It didn't really hurt and I felt fine afterward.

One thing that has puzzled me is one article said that if you have had a ectopic pregnancy the shot should have been given after that. I didn't have it obviously. Uggg so many questions. And for some reason, must be my lack of sleep, I kept thinking my next appt. wouldn't be til 28 weeks which it'll be at 24. So that's good. I'll just ask then.

I know nothing about blood types..but congrats on the girl! Have you been thinking about names..that's the first thing Ben and I talked about when we found out we were having Emily.

^^ thank you! Yeah I always said Grace or Gracie for a girl. Due to God's grace & Amazing Grace. Not sure yet on the middle name though.
