You mention Elon ... and I have found it very interesting that it does not appear he has said much (anything?) about this drone situation. (If he has, I haven't seen it.) But this would seem to be right up his 'alley'. So I find it peculiar that he is not saying much.

Apparently they've now been reported in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, and nobody seems to know where they're coming from, who's operating them, or for what purpose. Some reports coming out of Pennsylvania relate that some of the drones seem to be spraying substances into the air above cities.

So far, the collective response from local, city, state, and Federal agencies has been to sit on their hands and say, "Duuuuhhhh.....weeda know?"

I know what I'd do if one started hovering over my house.....

Well, I am reading today that these (U.S.) drones may be looking for radioactive materials.
If that is the case, it would explain Elon's silence.

So the drones have now been in Ohio also, at Wright Patterson AFB on Friday.
(The base reopened on Saturday.)

I see where CNN has come out spluttering and fearmongering about blasting the things out of the sky. Some of their arguments are ridiculous.

FBI officials have said they believe many of the suspected drone sightings are actually manned aircraft being misidentified by civilians....the FAA told CNN in an email Sunday that private citizens shooting at any aircraft, including drones, “poses a significant safety hazard.”

Right. Like the average citizen can't tell the difference between a 747 five miles high and a drone hovering at 150 feet. Please. Furthermore, if whoever is actually operating these things is so worried about them being shot down, then don't put them up into the air to begin with; or at the very least, tell people why they're up there in the first place.

Well, nukes are wrapped up with protective outer layers and have such thick shells no drone could detect it says the experts

That said, just know that a bird sucked into an airplane engine is gonna cause damage and possibly death

Why would it be lawful to have drones near airports or airbases at all?

What about power lines too?

If there's no known threat, then it's all a bunch of hysteria and we need to just go back to our lives and accept their presence everywhere

Sounds almost reasonable of the guy. I’d think Walmart has some explaining to do. I hope this is a very public trial.
