Oh, the artwork is the whole illustration. I used Blender to make the droid, Blender and Gaea for the environment, and Photoshop for some colour correction and post effects. If you’re interested in 3D, I can recommend Blender as it’s both free and have grown into a highly sophisticated and intuitive tool!

Blender has come a long ways! This looks good. It does remind me of a vacuum I used once, however!

It blends into the scene convincingly.
