Nooo man! Drinking is completely Wrong! You shouldn't be drinking, none of us should be! Some christians think that its okay as long as you can "control yourselves" but honestly if a worldly person were to see us drinking, they'd have a reason and quickly convict you on it. Yeah Jesus turned water into wine but in both the hebrew and greek text i believe or one of them, the word wine has two meanings, one was meant as a non alcoholic beverage, and the other an Alcoholic drink.

So Yes, it is bad to drink. We're suppose to be living testimonies to the world, remember the world is always watching us to make one wrong move and blame or convict us on it!

Why on earth would they do that?

Read history. Wine in classical times was alcoholic, and what was drunk at parties and weddings was clearly alcoholic. They didn't have pasteurization back then so drinking just non-alcoholic juice wouldn't be the greatest idea.

So Yes, it is bad to drink. We're suppose to be living testimonies to the world, remember the world is always watching us to make one wrong move and blame or convict us on it!

Please, do you have any non-Christian friends? Their lives don't actually revolve around scrutinizing Christians for "faults" as defined by a fundamentalist moral code.

Why on earth would they do what? Convict us? You'd be surprised when someone that isn't saved had to tell you "what are you doing? I thought you were christian" or etc.

Dude wine back then was non fermented also, when God approves of wine, he is speaking of non fermented. And when he's speaking of Fermented Wine he clearly does not approve of it:

"Their wine is the venom of serpents,
the deadly poison of cobras." - Deuteronomy 32:33

"for drunkards and gluttons become poor,
and drowsiness clothes them in rags." - Proverbs 23:21

And yes I do have non-christian friends, and yeah their lives of course don't revolve on checking up our mess ups but when they see us mess up they call us on it. Last time about 2 weeks ago, i lied about something so stupid and i have no reason to lie for and my friends convicted me on it saying "You're lying? And this is coming from the guy who goes to church" etc. Believe me its the worst when you get convicted from non-believers.

I've literally never had anyone say that to me.

That is historically untrue. LacusCurtius • Cato On Agriculture — SectionsÂ[bless and do not curse]104‑125

"Their wine is the venom of serpents,
the deadly poison of cobras." - Deuteronomy 32:33

That doesn't even address the morality of alcohol.

"for drunkards and gluttons become poor,
and drowsiness clothes them in rags." - Proverbs 23:21

What about it?

Drinking isn't a mess up.

That sucks, but lying, unlike drinking, is universally considered immoral.
