Just wondering am i the only person here who enjoy putting clothes on their pets?

I have 8 baby kittens and i dress them up wearing small jerseys and bandannas. Everthing is custom made so it fits perfect! I figure sense we wear clothes because of adam and eve sin, why not dress the animals. Now i dont do this all the time, only when i take them out to the mall or movies , etc. Fun times!

And remember:  Down to the creator who has made this foundation.

Can't say I have ever dressed my dogs. My horse wears a saddle and blanket sometimes. ;)

My step-daughter used to dress her dog in interesting costumes and then took photographs quite frequently. Our favorite is the pup in her Zorro outfit. Do you receive admiring comments when you go to the mall with your fashionable eight kittens? Must be cute. Maybe you could post a picture on the Pet Photos topic, eh?

Good wishes. ShetlandRose

Oh my goodness you are so sad - imagine doing that... it is weird!!! If someone did that in Britain they would be put in a padded cell and the key would be thrown down a drain. It is just really really freaky, I can't imagine what that looks like.

I think that is so cute when people dress up their animals. I don't know if the animal feel it is confortable or not...I would assume they are very uncomfortable. I would never dress my Dogs or Cats up. They are to hyper-active and my Dogs are too big.

My Dog, Jason, goes everywhere with me...the mall, the store, when I run each morning, when I travel out of state he's always with me. I spoil him like he's a child. He loves to go places and hang out my car window....he loves the fresh air. Alot of people stop us and ask about him and pet him.

Well I was gonna say something funny about it myself...but since you already got chewed out pretty good I'll refrain. Its probably just the way you wrote it. I don't see anything wrong with dressing up animals from time to time if you think its cute.....although I do have to wonder does the animal really like it....or is he/she just going along because he/she knows it pleases you.

I saw this woman on Ripley's: Believe it or Not that took her cat surfing - and actually puts it on a bord by itself. That cat just stood there, drenched as he cruised along. He looked fighting mad!

Oh, I don't think so! I have an on-line buddy from Manchester, and whenever she travels, she buys necklaces and scarves for her GSD and Labrador, and has sent me pics of the dogs wearing them! She is a teacher, and frequently takes her GSD to her classroom. The children think it is so cool to have the GSD wearing a necklace and scarf.

When I began training my GSD for pet assisted therapy work (to take the dog into nursing homes and hospitals to visit the patients), I learned that because he is a large dog, and black, and a German Shepherd, a lot of people might be afraid of him. One way to make a dog less scarey looking is to just put a bright colored bandana around the dog's neck. So I bought him a red bandana and a red cowboy hat. Yes, it's silly. But it does make the dog look more approachable.

I know a lot of people who have Halloween costumes for their dogs. It's not freaky--it's imaginative!
