  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So lately I've been seeing quiet a few of these testimony videos floating around on the internet and must admit; out of all the end times prophecies, this one has probably had the biggest impact on my movement towards Christ. I wanted to bring this up here to see what you guys thought about it and possibly discuss further on it.

Can anyone here recall having a vision of any sort as a child? Have any of you had a prophetic dream as an adult that could possibly fit the description of what was said in Acts 2:19? Or, perhaps know of someone who has had one?! I know I haven't up to this day.

Acts 2:17-19
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:"

Here is one that caught my attention

What makes this particular video even more interesting is one of the words the child kept repeating. Not sure if it was a coincidence of baby language or not but..

(abbā) is the pronunciation for the word אַבָּא in Hebrew.
אַבָּא translated in English means Father and every instance of her saying abbā made logical sense.

I was told at a very early age that babies can see into the spirit realm until just before two years old. Maybe that is true. I think our environment, air, water, and food pollutants have caused our pineal glands to become calcified and dreams and visions are not happening in this post modern age as it has in the past. But people have to trust the Word of God that says dreams and visions will happen. Right now, the occult world knows what is happening, and they are de-calcifying their pineal glands by not drinking fluoridated water and using different types of herbs like the bitter herbs used in the first passover meal. I am sure that our Father can and will accomplish what He has said He will do. There are people who are reporting real detailed dreams. I have had dreams, but I don't share them.

Yea, the older people testimonies tend to be really detailed. If you look on YouTube they almost always explain their brief tour of heaven and/or hell just like what is mentioned in Acts 2:19. The crazy part is the descriptions are all so similar especially the descriptions of heaven's golden appearance.

Btw here is another one from an older child who was able to articulate much more than the 2 year old girl. The thing about her testimony is how passionate and fluent she described everything. Almost as if it were something that happened at school on the playground. Furthermore you can almost always tell when a person is lying, but kids, they're even more obvious when they do. I can't see this child having mastered the art of deception at such a young age which makes me believe this even more.

Has everyone seen the film More Than Dreams? It's a docudrama about Muslims who had visions or dreams of Jesus, came to faith in Jesus Christ, and grew in their faith.

It's free to watch online by section (www.morethandreams.org), and DVDs are available for purchase (Messenger Films) and rent (Netflix).

I highly recommend it.

I've had a dream that answered my prayer but I don't know that it was necessarily prophetic. It was definitely an answer to a spiritual situation I was concerned about.

I had heard about a modern day golden statue situation (Daniel 3). A Christian organization was saying that the Christians in a certain place were going to pray to God while bowing/ giving the appearance of worshipping another, since if they didn't bow they would go to a labor camp or worse. This justification greatly disturbed me. I felt bad for the Christians, but I was indignant about the suggestion that it was okay to pretend. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego knew it wasn't okay, and God hasn't changed!

My dream was like watching a film. First I saw about six to eight junior high age girls intentionally sharing the gospel with other girls their own age. They were using a simple wordless picture tract as a springboard to share the gospel. (Christian tracts with words were illegal.) Those who rejected the message stirred up their peers into a violent frenzy. Somehow, this resulted in the Christian girls getting fingers (or pieces of fingers) pulled off. In the next scene, the Christian girls appeared together as for a church testimony video, their hands bandaged with noticeably shorter fingers. They said, "We are glad that we were found worth to suffer for the gospel of Jesus Christ."

The second part of my dream was more brutal and I don't want to replay it here.

When I woke up at about 2:30 in the morning after that dream, I knew that God agreed with me about the modern day golden statue situation. What I understood is that God wants even the children who claim His name to be willing to suffer (if necessary) in order to be obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ.

I apologize if anyone is disturbed. (Please note I'm not claiming prophecy.)

I understand completely your reticence to share your dreams with others. I'm not entirely sure in every case such visions are intended to be made public as a message to the masses. Instead, they may actually be intended by God as more of a personal message... one which confirms your faith, and which God deems necessary in order to prepare you for some purpose he has yet to reveal. I certainly haven't shared every vision, or dream I've seen in this forum.

There is also the very real danger a dream, or a vision doesn't necessarily come from God at all. You can rest assured, if you are receiving special attention from God, you are lit up on Satan's radar like a 747 jumbo jet, and you can expect some input from the opposition as well. Remember, Satan knows every single word of Scripture better than the most learned Bible scholar, and he's not adverse to trying to twist the word of God around to suit his own agenda, and plant ideas in someone's mind that aren't from God at all. The Pharisees tried to use Scripture to discredit Jesus, didn't they ?!

IMO, I think it's good advise to be cautious about publicizing any dream, or vision.. until you've prayed on it extensively, compared its' context with God's Word and the Gospel of Christ, and maybe even discuss it privately with a clergyman you trust, before sharing it with the rest of the world. If there's some urgency to get the message out right away, I'm sure God will find a way to let you know about that as well. In the meantime, caution might be the better part of valor.

I agree with everything you posted. That has been my thought from the start that dreams and visions were more personal than public knowledge.

We just don't know. Perhaps a vision or a dream is meant to be a personal message for now, but later God will tell you it is time to reveal to others what he has shown to you. Whose to know whether your testimony will save hundreds, thousands, or just a single individual. I do know from experience, it is futile to try and force God to reveal His Will before the appointed time. When the time comes to speak out, you'll know it.

Yeah, my daughter-in-law has prophetic dreams. She sees events before they happen in her dreams. And they happen exactly as she sees them. It is not very pleasant for her, but she is careful about sharing what she sees. I think being discerning about sharing dreams is a very wise thing to do. I do believe our Father will prompt us about when to share through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.I don't have dreams that I remember much anymore. I have never had an open vision but I know a few people who have had them.

We know it's happening that God is giving some Christians dreams and visions and words of knowledge. Sometimes the information people share that they say is from God doesn't line up with the doctrine of the Word. So we have to make sure we are testing everything against Scripture. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to share their dream, vision, etc., with a number of people (or anyone). God didn't necessarily want them to share it, and perhaps sharing is not profitable for anyone. It should be bathed in prayer.
