It is odd what God sometimes reveals to me. Sometimes what I see is relatively trivial(in the grand scheme of things).
I once had a dream where I was standing in the middle of the plant where I worked. People were busily working their jobs and going to and fro. Suddenly all of the plant to my right went silent and dark. The part to my left continued. Something in my dream (I do not recall if it was a voice or a thought) said "3 years". This was toward the end of 1998. In 2001, three years later, the plant did experince a cutback. The plant from the point where I stood in my dream and to my right did cease operations. I do not know why I wsq shown this. Was I supposed to warn people?
Sometimes the dreams are not so trivial. In the summer of 1989 I had a dream where I saw 12 tornados run through the small town where I lived. Later that fall huricane Hugo damaged much of SC, including the town where we lived. The offical report said that as many as 12 tornados touched down.
Some dreams seem to deal with a time and place very different form ours. I do not know why I have these or what I am supposed to do with them. I hesitate sharing them with local people or even with my family...

Didakaslos...That is your dream.

Can you help me interpret mine?

I dream that huge sheets of snowflakes fall from the sky. What does this mean?

Was this a one time dream or one that reoccured over and over?
Maybe you are looking forward to skiing season? I don't really know.

I have interpretted one dream before... that was 2 years ago. It was kinda wierd, this girl shared her dream and I had an immediate vision of it and could see the whole picture where she couldn't. I haven't had anything like that happen since. Sorry I could be of help.

I'm interested in what Didakaslos or anyone else might have to say.

Thank you. Lately I have been dreaming things. And the snowflakes was one of my latest dream. It was just last week that I dream that.

Ever since I receive tongues, I notice I dream about things. So far that I remember one dream did come true. I dream about a woman who I knew. Two theives come into her home. Steals her belonging in her home. Then make a hole on the side of her car which the oil gushes out. The theives run off.

I interpret this as she must be facing some internal pain within her body. So I call her. Her daughter confirms it to me this to be true. And this is last week when it happens.

I would say just be careful about dream interpretation. SOmetimes dreams mean something... but I think most of the time they don't. I have dreams all the time.... nightly (of course everyone does.... but I mean I remember them every morning). At least 99% of my dreams are nothing but dreams.

Once my freshmen yr of HS I had two dreams the same night that always stuck with me because they were an indicator of what I was going to do with my life and I knew it but wouldnt recognize it. MY dad was so excited he wrote them down and still has them as proof he believed I would get myself together and have a ministry someday
In one I go to this house full of people and these demons attack me but I just kept fighting them off and arguing the gospel with the eldest there.
I have had many prophetic dreams since coming back to GOd.
My scariest arent the ones every night where demons are fighting me but when I get a letter from a person who tells me someone named bedalia has went insane and then died and went to Hell because she wouldnt stop talking to satan. I woke up right away and prayed for her if she was still alive.
I had an instance once I dont know if I was dreaming or God moved my whole body. I had started the ministry but was having a bad day and got to church but couldnt leave the car to go in (panic attacks) well I swear God used me anyhow my husband was in the front seat while my grandma was in the church I fel asleep in the back seat. I dreamt I walked in the church and sat down next to a crying woman. She and her husband were fighting over her inability to have a child. I remember hugging her and rebuking the demons and going back to the car. I know the difference between lucid dreaming and astral and dreams themselves.. it was like none of the above.
Any fellow faith filled charismatics have any idea s about this one?

I had a dream last nite that I wanted to share. This will be my first post.

Last week (in real life) I was reading in the Bible about Paul's Vision and the Thorn in his flesh, found in one of the letters to the Corinthians. I believe the vision of heaven refers to Paul's near death experience after being stoned to near death (see incident in Acts).

In my dream I was at a retreat of some type for singles. I was sharing a hotel room with another guy, someone at my church who I know not too well. Our room was on a 2nd floor. I jumped through a hole in the floor to my death, because I wanted to have an assurance of my salvation, like Paul had. I found myself travelling in a tunnel. If I was destined for Hell I knew that the tunnel would eventually travel downward into fiery flames. If that was my fate (damnation), I didn't care when it occurred, I just needed to find out soon. I needed to know. I didn't think my salvation was in my hands anyways, so I didn't care when I died. It was all up to God anyways. But fortunately, I didn't see flames. I saw a figure waiting for me above, amidst light. I thought maybe it was Jesus but I don't remember.

When I awoke from the experience (still in the dream) I was talking to some of the people at the retreat. I'm not sure if I had died and was speaking to them as a spirit, or if I had survived and was telling about my experience.

I was glad in the dream that it happened, even if I was dead. Because my salvation was assured. But when I woke up this morning I didn't have the same level of assurance.

I am not good most of the time at dream interpretations...but I got a REALLY bad feeling when I was reading through this thread...not sure which post its coming from though...sorry. I think ALL posters on here need to pray and ask about their dreams they just posted and ask God if these are from Him or not. And if they are not from God, are they just harmless dreams or something more? Let God guide you.

Sorry...I don't know what esle to say at this point.

God bless

Sometimes it is impossible to tell someone else what their dreams mean unless God tells us. Dream interpretation is one of those grey areas where we have to be careful. Dreams come from three areas:
Our own mind
An evil spirit
The spirit of God.

Demons dreams are always nasty, full of lies and obvious darkness. Dreams from God are easy: they are full of light and the presence of God. The ones from your own mind are usually spun from your conscious and subconscious mind. These can be tricky because they can be filled with symbolism that is unique to you. You know what the symbols mean... and sometimes the meanings are shared by many people in a culture or faith system. But the question is: what do they mean to you. God can use these symbols to talk to you in your dreams.
When I read your dream.... it just occurred to me that these were waves of refreshing coolness from God. But that is just a first impression. If this is a manifestation of the Spirit as described in 1 Cor 12, then it may be a word of knowledge or a word of wisdom. Usually when a word of knowledge is given, we know what it means because a word of knowledge is a revelation of things that people already know about and could know about via natural means. A word of wisdom is sometimes mysterious because it involves a revelation of things that are not known and that could not be discovered by natural means.
If this dream is from God, then I suspect it would be a word of wisdom.

(((I do not want to scare anyone away from looking at their dreams or listening to their spirits... but great care must be taken in these areas. Witchcraft is a very real part of all of our flesh that we all have to fight against. Take these things into your prayer life and get in the spirit around them. Listen to the Lord. Pray in the spirit.)))

My immediate question would be: what would huge snowflakes falling in sheets mean to you?

I would highly recommend anyone who has recurrent dreams, or vivid dreams, to go into prayer just before you go to sleep. Pray in the spirit as you are drifting off.
Sometimes when I read these things I get the distinct feeling that people are getting into what we used to call "spooky spiritual." It does not edify and it leaves you feeling empty and confused. Because a lot of these things involve your mind, you can easily become confused and mixed up. Stay in the word of God if you need direction. Listen to the inner man, which is the the preferred method God wants to use when speaking to us. I am not saying ignore dreams... just be weary of them. If they confirm or make something in the word real to you, or if they confirm something the Lord has told you in prayer... then that is good! Don't let them lead you.
I guess I could go on and on about these areas of revelation. I have seen many people get confused and in trouble because they started looking at dreams and listening to personal prophesy instead of looking at the Word as the final authority. I cannot say do not listen to dreams, because it is obvious from the Word that He sometimes uses them to speak to us. I just want to emphasize that the Word is the main and final authority.

I have one silly question but I'm sincere.

How come in Acts, whenever a dream is described, it is do direct and clear-cut. eg Angel appears and tells you exactly what to do. IOW there's no need to wake up and say "huh?" and ask someone to interpret.

I dream a lot, and I mean a lot. even when i doze off on a table, I dream the minute I'm just half conscious. But 90% of the time, my dreams are trivial and crazy and don't mean a thing.

The only dreams that I find may have some significance are those dreams that I get just before I wake up in the morning. Usu they are longer, more coherent and I can remember them. So are these from God? Or too much cake last nite?

Recently, I dream that my nephew, a young man in his 20s, had cancer in one of his organs near his stomach. In the dream, I was about the share with him God's healing...then I awoke. *LOL

Hi Andrew~
I have the same questions as you. Maybe ask your nephew about that....I had a dream three months or so before my aunt died of cancer. we knew she had it, but it was still hopeful that she would make it, however she didn't. And that dream I had three months before she passed, she was on a train....and I knew that she was leaving for a while, but that I would see her again. She had become a christian through her trails with cancer. And it was reaffirming for me to know that she would be fine, but it also made me sad becuase I will not know how soon it will be to see her.

Another question I have for anyone out here. I have constant dreams about the rapture and end times. In the past when the rapture happened I would not go, and i would wake up in cold sweats because I was sure I was saved, and didn't understand why I didn't get to go, at other times I would go, and sometimes because I noticed a friend not going, I would stay with them. These dreams trouble me a lot.
I am a lot like the rest on this forum topic, I dream a lot..and remember a whole lot of dreams, and want to be sure if dreams should be taken seriously, or throw aside....?

I have dreams on an occasion about the end times. I wouldn't neccessarily say it is the rapture, but more like Christ's second coming or something along those lines. I don't think we should discount those dreams that we feel have some type of meaning. We have some dreams that I am sure that when we wake up we can discount those. But we have some dreams that when we do wake up we have to sit there and think about it.

Last week I had a dream. A few of my friends from church were all together. And it seemed like we were all on a retreat somewhere. We were all headed somewhere and my one friend and I decided to walk. When we started walking we made our way through what looked like a an old town you saw in the movie "O brother where are thou". Well we decided to cut through this building. And in this building was where rooms. Each little room was about 4 foot tall and maybe about 7 feet deep. These rooms where also stacked on top of each other about 3 rooms tall. When we got in the building my friend and I relized that these rooms were "apartments" for extremely poor people. And what was so sad was seeing the people dirty, seeing the children with dirty clothes, broken toys, staying in these little cubby holes with mommy or daddy. The place was dark and dingy. The little cubby holes where made of rought wood. Poorly wired lighting. In my dream I just started to weep and then cry with such sadness. Not because of the living conditions. But somehow my friend and I knew that they need Jesus.

When I think of the dream I still get choked up about it. But I think God was showing me where our church is headed.

Recently we just initiated a new ministry to try and close the "backdoor" to our church. Last year we had over 300 first time attenders come into our church. We kept around 10%. That is pathetic. So we started a ministry called "Care Ministry". So far since we started we have kept 9 out 12 first time attenders. PRAISE GOD   .

And I think God was showing me in my dream those that we are going to have to minister too and reach out to. Not that we haven't been, but our focus needs to be more on touching the needs of others. I believe the dream was confirmation of what God is doing in our church and those in our age group.

So keep those dreams to hear. And ponder them and ask God to keep them in your mind and in your thoughts...

God Bless...

Well said Didaskalos, I've had a few dreams in my time and many of them were from God and they were means of direction, generally in an area that God was already prompting me in.

I had one last week that affirmed a stand I needed to take in a particular area that was quite unpopular with others. I believe I had the dream before the knowledge of the issue then when the issue was exposed I understood the dream.

I don't have them often though.

didaskalos, I believe that this can deal with my prayer. I have been praying about God using me. I want God to use me fully in whatever ways He may want, especially in the situation that my church is lukewarm and is a bit involve in animism. Sad. But some members are not willing to give up their old religion. That is a problem because it does get into issues about demons and unclean spirits.

snowflakes falling in sheets?

to me that would symbolize a major move of the Holy Spirit...bringing repentance, causing individual (as each snowflake is unique) people to repent...this would of course be about forgiveness too! ;) As said in this psalm...

Psalm 51:7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

TY JESUS for sheets of snowflakes AMEN & AAAAAAAAMEN!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I have been given a good number of personal prophetic dreams, and given a fair gift of interpretation, as well.

If the dream's message comes to you in multiples of three, it is a most important message and it would be best to strive to find its meaning. A dream subject even given twice is something to look into. This has proven true for the very occasional visions I have received, as well.

Sometimes the dreams are sort of a report card on how your life is going at the time. Driving in a car, faced with a messy room to clean, living in a house in bad repair, all these subjects seem to be telling you your present state of affairs.

Many dreams are just your busy mind just trying to assimilate and make sense of your day.

Everyone has given good advice. When you've had a dream that sticks with you and you are in need of interpretation, pray to be given the interpretation. The Lord may give it to you in a moment of  inspiration or choose to move someone else to interpret.
