I posted this in my journal, but I wanted to share it with everyone...didn't know where else to put it so I will post it here...

I had a dream



Ok, Last night I had this dream and today I asked a pastor about it and I wanted to share it and just journal it. So here goes...

The Dream:

I was laying in bed and there was a white man standing at my bathroom door peeking inside the bathroom. (*the white man is important*) and he says to me that there are 3 snakes and 2 spiders in the bathroom. I get up and I have my shoes on (*also important*) and when I do I fall. He says one of the snakes is especally 'volitile'. At which time this snake comes out after me. It is small and red. I begin to kick at the snake. It seems to be moving very fast and trying to come up my pant leg but I keep kicking at it and it is bleeding the more I kick it. And I wake up kicking in my sleep...

Ok...here's what the pastor said...

The white man represents my authority. Because we equate power and authority with the white male. So it was my authority in Jesus that saw the danger coming. The snakes represented temptation and the spiders represented my mind and will (* he cautioned not to tangle myself up in a web*). When I fell, It represented falling for the temptation but I was prepared and faught. I was prepared because I had my shoes on. I faught (and won) because with my shoes already on my feet, I kicked at the snake and he was bleeding and dying. So in summary, the Authority in me saw the danger, I was equipped for it already. I fell but I faught and won.

Is that awesome or what??? If anyone reading this has comment just PM me. Well, that was my day.

Thanks for sharing your dream...the Lord has been giving me "very many" dreams lately.

It pays to have our "full" armor on all the time...

We also have a very gifted sister on the spirit-filled site...HumbleBee...in my opinion has a gift for interpreting dreams.

Just keep having Jesus as your Lord and keep the Armor of the Lord on you... All of them not just the shoes.

Good point...and guess what ? In my dream, I was fully dressed I only mentioned the shoes because that was a focal point and what the pastor pointed out to me.

Yet Another Snake Dream



The dream:

I was in a house, old house in the country, and there was alot of snakes all around in the yard and I had to somehow kill them. (I am unclear at this point how but I have killed most of them). Also..(*in a previous dream I had on shoes and was kicking at the snake) this time I was barefoot. Anyhow, I somehow had killed most of them but there was one in a trash can and it was black and large. I had this task to but something in a trash bag and then put the trash bag in the trash can with the snake and cover it and whatever was in this bag would kill the snake. So I am in the mist of all these already dead snakes, fearful that some might be alive or more would come but I prepare this bag. Then on tip toes I go to the trash can. I see this snake raise its head and look at me. At this point, I toss the bag in and slide the trash can lid slowly over the top to cover it. The snake did not strike and I immediately on tip toes run towards the house. At this point I tip pass a rather large snake (obviously dead, it was oily looking and almost flat like its insides had been taken out. I was terrified but I kept going. I noticed too at this point that there was dog poo all over and I had to try not to step in it as well (because I am barefoot) and I get to the back door and am about to go in when I look down at my feet expecting to see dog poo between my toes and when I looked, my toes were clean!! There was a family in this house (not mines but a mother and children standing near a table near the backdoor. They seemed to be watching with expectation, almost a hope that I had killed the snakes. At which point I awoke.

I have not gotten an interpetation on this dream but I sure would appreciate anyone with insight to help me with this one...Thanks
