CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Errr...wasn't it me who told you to listen to DT before you'd ever heard them? I'll give you credit for getting me (more) into Phish! I'd already heard them lots, but never knew what the heck it was until you got me downloading some of their stuff! They rock, but not as much as Dream Theater!LOL!!!!Yeah I know that guy ps138, what a loser!!
I don't think I've told anyone how I started listening to DT before. I was a member of Columbia house in the mid-90s. My favorite genre of music that I had listed was metal. Every month, Columbia House would send you their 'selection of the month' if you didn't send back your order sheet telling them that you didn't want it. Well, I completely forgot to send it back and the selection of the month was Dream Theater: Falling From Infinity. I had mixed feelings about it at first and it took me around a year to get really get into it(I was too busy listening to Iron Maiden and Ozzy and the time!). The album grew on me and Dream Theater has become one of my favorite bands of all time.
