  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Or we could have a continual... like weekly lottery only you only win half of what is donated and the rest continues to grow in the bank toward a big item... or a game fund...???

I know there are random number generators online we could use. Kind of like rolling dice. You pick how many dice to roll, and how many sides each die has. Then it rolls and gives you the outcome. Someone could be assigned to draw the numbers each week (Obviously they couldn't play the numbers! LOL).

That may work... but it would be more work than I'd like...

I'd like to find an existing program or have one written where I can type in the name and # of chances purchased and have it randomly generate a result...

I plan to *run* the game so I will not be participating...

I'm thinking of 10 blessings for every chance to win... so 100 blessings gets you 10 chances...

Then whatever is collected in a given week...half will go to the winner and the other half into savings...

Still working on it...
