Hey Guys I wonder if anyone can help interpret this dream for me. I had this dream where there was a woman, she asked me to pray for her in a strange manner or voice so I tried to avoid her then her face moved into my mind and a black cloud from her face wrapped around my head and i woke up. I thought i would ask for help as I thought its one of those dreams that are unusual, seemed spiritual. I am currently dealing with depression I think and am struggling.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I will need a little more information before I dare to give you concrete directions. Firstly why did you avoid the woman when she asked you to pray for her. What do you mean she had a strange voice - suffering, angry, dark or spooky? Where did this event in your dreams take place? (A random place, home, work, school, public place or nature?)
At first glance the black cloud that came from her face and wrapped itself around you could be understood to mean that because you refused to love/support this woman, by not praying for her when she asked you to, that the darkness that plagued her now also darkens your council because you refuse to help/support her. However more/other meaning could still be valid it depends on the smaller/minor details of your dream.

I don't know where it was but it was dark, I think maybe that these things where happening in the spirit, I think I refused her from lack of faith because I have been dealing with doubt, lack of assurance and am frustrasted and confused spiritually.

When you find that you are stuck yourself and know how horrid it is that you would pray for others who are hurting David. This is what God is trying to tell you to love your neighbour as yourself for if you would like others to pray fro you then its best to pray fro others as well.
I found that praying for others and caring about their hurts and pains helped me enormously fighting my own often crippling depression, I think it might benefit you as well to pray. Not just for this faceless women but for all those hurting on this planet as much as you can, for the love that will grow in your heart caring about others will also care fro you and help you fight your depression and pain. Honestly true.
