  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

well I have no idea what you mean by "parted river" and of course your post is as cryptic as ever. My speculation is the river that went out of Eden and then divided or as the KJV says "parted" into four rivers, Pishon, Gihon, Hiddekel and Euphrates. There are 4 rivers and 4 people you want to draw a connection with thus my suspicion.

The 4 rivers each have different qualities to them and geographical location. The 4 men also have unique qualities and can also be traced to different geographical areas. I don't know if you can find much by comparing the unique qualities of the rivers with the men but their locations may have some similarities.

For example Pishon is thought to have run through the center of the Arabian peninsula and looking over the names Bildad is a Shuhite and perhaps a descendant of Shuah a son of Abraham who lived in the deserts of Arabia so perhaps Bildad can be connected with the river Pishon.

I won't go to specifics with the others as they are just as wishy-washy as the above example but support is there for each. This theory is not something I have any interest in or promote but instead something I tried to think of to fill in the blank of your question so if I have missed the mark then so be it but perhaps you could be more clear next time. With that all said based on loose geographical locations for both the rivers and the men there is some relative agreement with this and the connections would be as follows:

Bildad: Pishon
Eliphaz: Gihon
Elihu: Hiddekel
Zophar: Euphrates

The Jordan River was "parted" three times in the Bible, once by Joshua, once by Elijah, and once by Elisha, right? (well, God actually did it all three times) As for the connection to the 4 men mentioned in the OP, I'll have to get back to you later.

There are patterns in scripture, the seventy, the twelve, the three, the two, the one, all set within a week or seven days, seven months, seenty weeks etc.. Showing a truth that is unfolding in us, being revelaed in us.

The Jordan river is one of those three's. As is Noah's three sons, Passover, pentcost, tabernalces, hope, faith, love, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, three men in a firey furnance, Terah's three sons, Job's three friends, Abraham's three men, the contents of thew ark of the covenant, the building of Noah's ark, tabernalce of Moses which was also the pattern shown in the mount, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, etc.

They are a path if you will of our knowledge of God. It covers the entire Bible from cover to cover, in people's coming in's and going out's etc. down to verses that all three appear in.

I am not looking to teach something but to see something. The dove resting upon Jesus at the jordan, the fourth river parting so to speak is where the dove Noah sent out finally found rest for the sole of her foot. The land had rest in Jesus, his three feasts became one, Father.

I want to see further in.

Thank you in advance for the ones who are adding to this.

DaLeKo, you added the fourth one to me. The heavens parted when he came up out of the jordan, the waters of batpism ...

I want to thank you again, the words you spoke/wrote have continued to open up in me both last night and this morning.
