Anyone watch the movie? Is it good? How is it, compared to the manga series, Dragaonball?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I saw it last Friday. It was good, but the script and plot were horrible, and the end fight could've been better. James Marsters did a great job as Picollo, or King Picollo, anyways, and if they do a sequel or remake, I hope he returns.
Compared to the manga....the manga was better. I definitely did not like what they did to Shenlong, even if it were to try and give the franchise a realistic feal. I didn't like the idea of Goku a high school student, but it about won me over when the character still acted like his manga counterpart.
I'm actually working on my own script for a DBZ movie. Try and see if I can't sell it to Fox! At least I'll stay true to the source while retelling also for a new generation!

I liked the movie. If you expect it to be a lot like the manga or anime, then you'll be disappointed. It's not a bad movie though except that it was too quick (especially the last fight). It exceeded my low expectations though and Bulma, Yamcha, and Master Roshi acted like their manga counterparts enough for me not to be too upset. I still don't know why they chose that guy as Goku though. He just seems like such a terrible actor.
