DRACONIAN BRITAIN
For the past three decades, the government of the United Kingdom has in the guise of its Local Authorities, SNATCHED children from their birth parents using Child Protection Legislation as the means to do so. Of course, children need protection from harm, BUT from the people that WILL harm them, not from those merely put under the umbrella of suspicion by innuendo and unfounded rumour.
According to history, the terrible Witch Hunts of the Middle Ages are long past, but are they really. That dark time when innocents could be burnt, drowned and tortured on the imagined suspicion of sick minds has it seems returned to haunt us again. This time, in the guise of the Social Services.
In Britain today, a total stranger can walk into your home, and escorted by the police, (sometimes armed) wake your children and remove them from YOUR care. Why, because present Social Services policy dictates that it needs nothing more than mere suggestion or unproven complaints to allow them to do this.
Murderers, drug dealers, burglars; in fact the whole criminal fraternity, has more rights within the present structure of our laws, than those of parents and children unfortunate enough to tangle with Social Services.
What has already happened to countless families across Britain could happen to you, because when accusations are made against you or another member of your family, unlike the Criminal Courts where such accusations would have to be proven, the Civil Courts need no actual evidence at all. They can even use a failed conviction (a proven to be innocent verdict) against you. In fact, the law concerning parents, their children and the often questionable ethics of the Social Services, offers absolutely nothing but pain, anguish, mental torture, and almost no legal redress whatsoever apart from that of the European Courts, who more than often voice their complete dismay at the British Governments abuse of those parents and childrens basic human rights.
Those of you who are parents, beware, because in this country, Innocent until Proven Guilty does not apply. If sometime in your life you find yourself or your children coming under the suspicion of Social Services, then both you and your offspring could lose all those rights, you might once have thought were yours by birthright.
For Social Services to act, actual Proof is not required, and you will find yourself constantly denied any recourse against all decisions made concerning yourself and your children. All decisions, even those made by Judges, will be heard behind closed doors, in secrecy, where public admittance is never allowed and always denied.
Some of us might even have assumed that local Authorities, paid as they are from the public purse, are, like the Courts and other public bodies answerable to a higher authority. Not so it seems, their actions and decisions although in the public interest, are held in greater secrecy than those of our main government. We may get to know about the shifty dealings of our Goverment, but when it comes to Social Services, nobody is ever going to get to know the decisions made within those secretive departments. After all, has Social Services ever offered up its own statistics, like those concerning the harm that has come to children in its care, for instance, those hundreds physically, mentally or sexually abused in childrens homes and those others abused by the carers it directly employs.
How many are these children, who in the past or present, after suffering the of trauma of being snatched from their parents, then suffer more by being pushed and packed from carehome to carehome, in the emotionless and loveless world of overpaid care workers. It is now a proven fact that children, who have been in care, are one of those groups most likely to end up in prison.
Moreover, let us not forget the mental torture the parents must suffer.
There is no other country in Europe so draconian and excessive in its methods of dealing with parents and children. Nor will any other European Country snatch children with so little evidence. So beware, because regardless of what actual proof is available, once your children are in Local Authority Care, it is virtually impossible to get them back.
Below are some facts - then some links available on the internet, which point to just a few of those blunders and embarrassments attributable to Local Authorities and Departments of Health.
1)3,000 New born children were removed from their mothers at birth during 2001/2002 A further 1,800 children aged 3+ were removed during this period giving a total of 4,800 children
2)Local Authorities give as little as 24hrs notice to parents concerning Court hearings to remove their children. Courts could not get away with this.
3)Once parents fight to retain their children, the Local Authorities use this as evidence that the parents are not co-operating and hence a danger to their children
4)When children are removed from the care of their parents, they are often placed into the care of foster carers whos backgrounds have yet to be fully assessed
5)The level of individual care of children in foster care is often diminished due to the amount of the other unrelated children within the same house hold, where in some instances there are 10 children to 2 adults
6)Again, whilst in foster care the health of the children can suffer, this is usually because of lack of attention, due to the other pressures on the foster carers by the rest of the children in their care. A carer can also receive over 300 pounds for each individual child in its care.
7)The Educational Skills and Qualifications of children in care often suffers due to the pressures upon, and lack of attention and assistance from the foster carers
8)Local Authorities having once secured children away from the birth parents, thenoffer only as little as two hours supervised contact a day, Mon-Fri, even though this is recognised as illegal, both by the European Courts and our own Higher Courts.
9)Local Authorities always run adoption proceedings alongside those of care proceedings. This of course creates a catch 22 situation for parents, because once adopted they are never able to reclaim their children.
10)Hardly surprising then, with the above in mind that we have discovered Local Authorities are under instruction from the Government to fill a quota of children to be adopted to childless couples.
11)Worse still, once these children are adopted, Local Authorities only permit letter contact once a year between the birth parents and their stolen children.
12)Although such actions are recognised as unlawful (see per Section 6(1) of the Human Rights Act 1998: It is unlawful for a public authority to act in a way which is contrary to a convention right.) nobody in authority seems willing to address the issue.
13) On the Convention right in question - 8(1) of the European Convention on Human Rights: Everyone has the right to a free and private family life, the Local Authorities HAVE been proven many times to be in direct violation OF THESE CONVENTIONS.
14)The Government AND Local Authorities seemed determined to ignore the decisions of the European Court, even those recently made by our own higher courts, stating that it takes time for these changes to filter down through.
Awards made in such cases are of course paid by the taxpayer, and as long as the taxpayer keeps footing the bill, the government it seems, does not give a ****. Its just a matter of raising taxes.
15)Once Children are adopted away from the birth parents, it is quite common for these parents to attempt suicide. Social Services offers no assistance, except to use this against them.
16)Most parents are so traumatised by the mental torment and degrading treatment suffered at the hands of the Local Authorities, few will ever fully recover from the experience.
In this the 21st century, when we as a nation are so ready to criticise the actions of other nations, Chinas record of human rights being one, perhaps it is time to start clean-sweeping our own backyard. All too often, our government has peddled its spin to distract us, the public from those issues that should concern us most. Is it time then, to take action that will let our government know that they are not the ruling party, but a party elected, employed and paid by the people to represent the people to the best of their ability limited though that might be.
Our present Prime Minister, after involving the country in a war it did not want, travelled the world to explain to other countries how they should govern themselves, and after all this political journeying and preaching he still missed one country out our own.
If a vote every four years between two political parties that are, essentially the same, is Democracy. If having every major decision regarding our country made for us regardless of public opinion is Democracy, then perhaps its time to make sure that this form of control is itself controlled, before we the public at large, all find ourselves subjected to a similar treatment as those unfortunates mentioned above.
