The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. It's okay. I don't know if it is triggering for others...but the pictures are graffic and I have been having a lot of triggers lately. It has been almost 21 months since I have cut...that is a super long time..but now that I am trying my best to stop the drugs...the urges to cut is starting to surface again. Blah...will I ever be better??

What did Dr. Phil say? And why start a post and delete part of it and leave the rest of us hanging? I saw his show before on cutting and it wasn't that big of a deal or all that helpful either. But if you want to see pictures on the internet that might be a little triggering.

We have to be very careful NOT to have anything on this Forum which could be triggering to others alilsa. The website was triggering to one of our members, and that's enough to make me delete.

Yes, that what he did! And, I believe this is a wonderful idea to have the girls in groups talking about why they SI!
There seems to be a sense of deep grief, or abandonment in those who SI, and I think it would be great for ones who do to talk about the why of it all.

Yes, he did a great job with the show. I sometimes I wish I could talk to him...without being on tv...but I suppose that is why he set up the message boards on his site. I have not posted there yet...but as far as he has said, he sees the posts too.

I was watching his show yesturday...where he was talking to 2 girls that had ran away from a cult. They believed that if they left the group...they would forever burn in hell. He voiced his believe in God there...and I think that's admirable...on national TV. I am now joining drphil.com for free so I can post on his boards. He actually responds to these posts...been reading a few. As close as you can come to talking to him I suppose.
