Isn't that like saying that Gad tribe who never crossed the river Jordan and still considered a part of Israel? It is a yes and no answer....James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. - James 1:1
My feelings (correct me if I'm wrong) are that the Messianic church is a scattered flock. Some may be Orthodox, Catholic, Pentecostal, Protestant, Charismatic, Word of Faith, or some may have their own Messianic church they enjoy attending. I consider Lehman Strauss a Messianic who just happened to be in the Baptist church.
You previously said that Dr. Strauss "was oblivious to his Jewish heritage"? What do you base that on when you say ...I was trying to answer that to a previous post. The man I was talking about was a Dr Leyman Strauss, who taught the bible with grace and dignity.
This week Dr Strauss has been talking about his Jewish heritage and this is available on demand using the link below (Sunday broadcast). That story will be available for a limited time. He is one of my favorite speakers. BBN Program Schedule
Yes, you are wrong! The whole reason for the Messianic Movement that began in the 60s & 70s was because Messianic Jews didn't want to be associated with all the divisiveness among Christian denominations that railed against each other and for the most part were still into supersessionism (RT/FT) during the 60s & 70s.My feelings (correct me if I'm wrong) are that the Messianic church is a scattered flock. Your posts in this MJ forum thread comes across as if your denominational theology is superior to Messianic Judaism.
hmn I thought that was Mannessa ...Isn't that like saying that Gad tribe who never crossed the river Jordan and still considered a part of Israel? It is a yes and no answer....

What I was getting at from my illustration is.. if you do not cross the river, you also drift into obscurity and are not part of Israel? While you point to Paul and to the "churches" of the first century, that isn't what exists today... there has been a lot of drifting.
What does he mention? From your summary, it doesn't sound like he lived a life honoring his Jewish identity. This week Dr Strauss has been talking about his Jewish heritage and this is available on demand using the link below (Sunday broadcast). I really tried. I clicked on the Bible Study Program with Dr. Lehman Strauss, but all it did was refresh the same page. I tried this with two different browsers.

BTW, I'm sure that BBN is Protestant, even if they are non-denom. Probably also Evangelical.
I don't like him at all. He has completely walked away from being a Jew. For all practical purposes, he has become a Gentile.Dr. Lehman Strauss is unique... I find no one else like him.

Here is a whole bunch of videos of Mark Kinzer speaking. Mark Kinzer is THE foremost Messianic Jew, real avant guard. He may have. There are not many actually Jewish preachers in my realm of Christianity, for me it is a treat to hear them speak.
The clue there is "12 tribes." NOT the gentiles. Jewish believers from ALL the tribes of Israel.James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. - James 1:1
