Kurt Patrick Wise is an American young Earth creationist who serves as the Director of Creation Research Center at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia. He has a PhD in Geology from Harvard University. He writes in support of creationism and contributed to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky.

Kurt studied under Stephen Jay Gould who was a prominent paleontologist, evolutionary biologist, and historian of science known for his work on the theory of punctuated equilibrium and his popular science writings. While he interacted with individuals from various perspectives, including Young Earth Creationism (YEC).

Dr. Wise's journey illustrates the complex relationship between faith, science, and interpretation, and how individuals may adapt their views based on evidence and personal reflection. While Dr. Wise did study under Stephen Jay Gould and initially held creationist beliefs, his subsequent shift in perspective reflects his own intellectual journey.

Creationism isn't science, it's religion.
Gerald Schroder is more of a scientist. His religion is based more on the great Kabbalah teachers from 1,000 years ago. So his belief is not based on what is currently known to be true in Science.

With the difference that His Creationism is based on Kaballah that goes back 1,000 years. He studies major commentators on the words of the Torah, Rashi (ca. 1090) and Nahmonides (ca. 1250).

Nahmanides, also known as Rabbi Moses ben Nahman or Ramban, was a prominent medieval Jewish scholar, philosopher, and commentator. He is particularly well-known for his commentary on the Torah, which includes discussions on various aspects of creation. One of his most famous commentaries is his interpretation of the opening verses of the Book of Genesis, which describe the creation of the world.

Kaballah is mostly superstition.

People would be amazed how much of the written Bible incorporated the oral tradition. If you look at the dead sea scrolls there is no sentences, paragraphs or chapters. There is a lot of oral tradition incorporated into our written Bible.

  1. No Spaces or Punctuation: The ancient manuscripts, including the Dead Sea Scrolls, often lack the punctuation, spaces, and divisions that modern readers are accustomed to. This absence of clear separation between sentences, paragraphs, and chapters can make it challenging to determine where one thought ends and another begins.
  2. Oral Tradition Influence: The absence of clear divisions in these ancient manuscripts suggests that the oral tradition played a significant role in the recitation and transmission of these texts. Scribes and readers would have relied on their familiarity with the oral traditions to understand the context and flow of the text.
  3. Variations and Adaptations: The oral tradition likely contributed to the variations and adaptations that can be found in different manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible. As texts were transmitted orally and then later committed to writing, different communities and scribes may have interpreted and adapted certain passages slightly differently.
  4. Memory Aids: The oral tradition served as a memory aid, helping individuals remember and transmit the text accurately. Certain patterns of repetition, rhythm, and phrasing in the written text were likely designed to facilitate oral recitation and memorization.
  5. Interpretive Nuances: Oral recitation often involves intonation, emphasis, and pacing that can convey interpretive nuances beyond the literal words. This aspect of oral tradition may have influenced how the text was understood and passed down.
Incorporating the insights from the oral tradition into the written text allowed for continuity of understanding and interpretation, even in the absence of modern textual divisions. The oral tradition provided a framework for comprehending the text's context, meaning, and significance. The interplay between oral tradition and written scripture underscores the rich and dynamic nature of how religious texts are transmitted and understood over time.

Creationism isn't science, it's religion. The Cambrian explosion isn't evidence for Creationism, and has been more or less answered by actual scientists.
Scientific explanations for the Cambrian Explosion are grounded in the theory of evolution, supported by evidence from the fossil record, genetics, and developmental biology. Scientists propose various hypotheses to explain this event, such as changes in environmental conditions, genetic innovations, and ecological interactions.
