CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

also the bible says the ark did get beached on the mountains of ararat. it just took another few months before they could leave the ark

no it does not. if the world had mountains, not mount everest, but mountains there would be plenty of water to cover the earth. also as the water receded, tectonic activity would still occur. the whole time of the flood took over a year. not one day of horrible earthquakes and volcanoes that would incinerate everything

also why do we assume that the same amount of land was exposed on earth? glaciers and polar caps greatly affect the sea level if the y melt or expand a little

the point of a debate is to make a stand and defend it with evidence. concede when you feel that the evidence presented against you cannot be refuted by your own evidence, and make a new theory.

no we wont talk about the beginnings of the earthe then ... that black mage guy ticked me off. so lets keep going with the flood. it was not falsified. it is the best explanation for the fossil record, the sedimentary rock layers and the vast amounts of fossil fuels in the world..
sedimentary rock is formed buy water. the only example of this now is in the oceans because it is the only thing on earth with enough water pressure to lithify the sediment. no floods or rains in modern times make sedimentary rock...unless it is catastrophic destruction like MT Saint helens

also...why the heck are their fossils of fish in the mountains? how did they get up therre...did they swim up? or did water levels rise enough quickly enough to kill them and quickly bury them before they decomposed?

Interesting article. Unfortunatly, they lacked evidence. Its all a bunch of assumptions. although still having some problems, its one of the better assumptions ive read. Which is why I normally go to AIG when looking for serious creationist material.
However, they just explained how it could have gone, but didnt provide any evidence to show that its the correct explination.

Of course, since mountains were built over millions of years. The fish could have died there when the mountain was small and got uplifted as it grew.
You will also notice that not all mountains have these fossils on them, and that the fossils that are on the mountains, differ depending on what mountain it is and how old it is.

ok thats a nice assumption about muontains but it s not the worst assumtion ive ver seen...ok any time science tries to explain the past it has to use assumptions since no one was there to test it or observe...ok this is my last post for the night
